MayBee Hives-Deep or Brood Size Beehive Frames and Foundations,10 Pack Honey Bee Frames with 100% Beeswax Coated Food Grade Foundation Sheets

These MayBeeframes came unassembled with 20 side supports (one for each side), 10 toprails, 10 bottom rails, & 10 prewaxed foundation sleeves & plenty of nails. Assembly waseslf-explanatory, though there were enclosed instructions with pictures. It was quick & very easy! I used wood glue, a ryobi brad nailer, 1 1/2" brads (instead of the enclosed nails) to put them together. But, a person could easily use a hammer & the nails provided to assemble them. They all fit together perfectly with no warping, or misfitting pieces. It was too easy! The wax foundations are very wax-y. I bought the yellow waxed ones. Compared to others I have previously purchased from amazon, the wax coverage is better. You can feel there's a good coating & you can actually smell the wax when you open the box. Can't wait for the new tenants to move in! Total time spent assembling 10 frames: <30 minutes. Skill level: Novice. Finished product: Excellent! Will purchase again.

Goes together okay. Some of the pieces are tighter fitting and have to be carefully tapped with a hammer to fit together. Not really impressed with the wax foundation it feels almost like plastic. I used some different wax foundations in mine I had laying around and the nails it comes with where hard to tap into the wood so I just used a brad nailer to put mine together. If i could give 2.5 * that’s what it’d be.

Great Product

Some assembly required. Everything fit together well. I started to nail the frames together without predrilling holes and it worked but due to the nature of wood, nails didn't always want to go in straight. I then got out my drill with a small bit and predrilled all of the holes. This worked out much better and was faster in the end. I had a large quantity of brads which I used instead of the nails provided. No issue with what was provided, i just had the brads handy. The frames fit in my hives nicely.
