I like the flavor of chili, but I can't take the heat! At least I can't take too much heat. These gochugaru flakes are a great alternative to chili flakes because they are not nearly as spicy but have a great smoky chili flavor. I add four or five times as much of these as the chili flakes I used to use, which means I get a lot of flavor and color without making my food too spicy for me to eat! Also, eight ounces is a big container (bigger than a Coke can), so even though I use a lot, these will last me for a while, which means these are great value for money, too.

This gochugaru has a rich, smoky aroma and just the right level of heat—spicy but not overwhelming. The fine texture makes it easy to blend into sauces, soups, or marinades. The 7 oz size lasts a while, and for the price, it’s a great value. Super versatile and a must-have for Korean dishes or adding depth to everyday meals!

Spice is very mild just perfect! Great quality and very fresh for being a dry product. Bought it to make cucumber kimchi, and taste great. The size of package is great for your money's worth!

This stuff tastes good, but (to me) it's very mild. The color is a gorgeous red that POPS! It's a very versatile pepper seasoning. I use it in more than just Korean cooking. I'd definitely like it if it were a bit spicier though!

I have a lot of recipes that call for korean chilli powder or flakes and this was absolutely perfect for them. The flavor is great and it is not overly spicy. 20/10 in quality.

I bought this to make an cucumber salad I saw online. This did not disappoint! The cucumber turned out great, and this added just the right flavor and spice I was looking for! I am now looking for other dishes to use it in.
