We have purchased two of these. I like that this is gentler than a standard shock collar (tried it on myself). It dos the job and my dog has learned quickly with the tap button (buzz/vibration) to listen immediately before he gets shocked. I’d recommend this to collar. For reference I have a golden retriever.

This thing does everything well. Charging time is always less than 1 hour for me and I charge it just once a week! The distance is great the night light is a life saver. I wish it had a "bark" sensor but that is all it's missing. It really works well and is not very difficult to set up. We did buy a piece of elastic and some cheap 1" buckles to make a collar that doesn't release. It simply stretches over our pups head and then automatically sets itself for the right size for adequate pressure without being too tight or too loose. It has three settings that are very handy. 1) vibrate only 2) shock but lightly (you set the level you want) 3)super shock which will stop him/her in their tracks if you like. (you also set the level to #3 that you would like) Also we like the saftey feature that once you set the levels it takes a bit to get back to those levels so they can't be adjusted by accident. Nice safety so you don't "OVERSHOCK" your pooch. Very humane way to keep your dog in control and if you have control then everyone wins. It's a big safety plus to keep the dog away from hazards. We almost never have to shock our pup and he's bullheaded. When he feels the vibration he freezes and makes immediate corrective action 100% of the time. Nice collar that's worth the money.

This is my second Educator ET-400 E Collar for my yellow lab, only because I misplaced the remote. This is a very effective and easy to use remote controlled dog collar. I did need to purchase the extended/longer prongs for my dog as he is a little over weight, and also has LOTS of fluffy hair for the shorter prongs to be affective. This offers multiple modes for different needs and behaviors. I only need the vibration to keep my dog alert, focused and on task. The stimulation/vibration levels can be adjusted from 1 to 100. I LOVE that is water proof because my dog is a swimmer! The remote floats too! The collar adjusts to many sizes, and is very flexible and durable. There is 2-hour rapid rechargeable and the batteries last for days!

Great tool to teach dogs to obey. But controls are a bit cumbersome.

If you're looking for an ecollar to train your dog, you won't be disappointed with this brand. We made the mistake of buying a cheaper version, and very quickly learned why the "good/trusted brands" were so much more expensive. Save yourself the time and headache, just purchase this one. It's has gentle (not sharp) stimulation, reliable and effective. Remote is ergonomically designed to allow trainer ability to respond quickly, and easily operate and change settings without having to look down at the remote. Stop looking, just buy this one.

Great system if you first learn how to use it correctly from qualified trainer (as I did). I used treats additionally for intermittent rewards to keep reinforcing our dog's training (always carry a quick open treat bag). But with the collar system, I can keep our dog from chasing wildlife or eating dead animal parts in the woods (which she gets very reluctant to give up). I was told our reduced husky mix could never be off leash. But with a K9OffLeash trainer and the Educator system, she is now often off leash when we are not on a road or in town.

It works extremely well. It is easy to use once you take the time to follow the directions and get guidance on when and how to use PROPERLY by a QUALIFIED dog trainer. It is a tool to teach the dog a new language for things that he already knows. It is not a tool for punishment but COMMUNICATION. Please use WISELY and SPARINGLY!

The ET-400 is a 3/4 miles wireless communicating tool why we go on a hike or to the woods. This thing has worked decent for majority of the time. The standby battery could've been extended as 2 days all day standby takes most of its fuel. The yellow cover plastic has tendency to come off not sure why, while it pops off for no reason it is also delicate and can be very brittle. My most disappointment was stimulus rods that this thing has a total of 2, one has stopped working within the first year. The second rod was recently losened the stimulant effect altogether after 18 months. This resulted in the product being defective now. The custom wing curogan anti-skin sensitive wad also purchased to tailored to my flurry friend needs.
