It saves me having to nibble a bit off with forceps so I don't get told off by the nurses for ruining surgical instruments and making a mess. *For those who are wondering, to create a smear of blood that is only one cell layer thick you need two slides and you draw one across the other. The angled corners make the leading edge narrower so the blood doesn't fall over the sides and make a big red mess. And I get told off by the nurses again. Easy!

Easy as! Nicely wrapped and smooth edges which are less likely to crack or splinter than basic cut glass. Feels good quality. good high quality slides although the covers can break very easily

Good quality and finish, nice glass and good size
These are pretty good slides - the edges are very well finished and the glass has good transparency. Picking 5 out of each pack at random they're all perfectly sized and I couldn't detect any which weren't perfectly flat. The packaging is good and very convenient. Good quality and good value.
