Dorman 932-303 Front Drive Shaft CV Joint

My truck started making a grinding noise when in 4 wheel drive. I found the cv joint boot on front drive shaft on the output side of the transfer case had torn and the bearings had rusted. This part was the perfect replacement. Removal of the old cv joint was the most difficult part due to rust of the splined shaft binding the old part to the drive shaft. 10 minutes with a 4 pound hammer and I was ready to install the new part. Installation was a breeze. I liked that they included plenty of grease with the kit and new clips and clamps for the boot. No worry about reusing any old components. Once replaced on the drive shaft it installed back on my truck like an OEM part should. I am now 4 wheeling smoothly again. Thanks Dorman.

Price on Amazon was about 2/3's the price of what Advanced Auto Parts store was charging in my neighborhood. It was shipped nicely with bubble wrap in a small tight box to prevent damage which was good. Bought the kit based on 5 star reviews from other buyers so I thought I would do the same for anyone else looking for the same part. While driving I was getting a humming and slight vibration with my jeep and after some trial and error replacing other parts I narrowed it down to the CV joint. This piece fit perfectly and is working great. Humming and vibrating are gone. Highly recommend this product. It can potentially save you hundreds from purchasing a new shaft.

Did the trick. The cost of replacement sent me looking for a rebuild option. I am not a wrench turner but process was pretty straight forward and I had no issues. Took about 90 mins to complete. Worst part was jacking up the Jeep to gain access. No special tools needed. An important note to remember, after the rebuild, the clunking continued for about 50 miles of driving. I've put about 2k miles on the Jeep and it drives as smooth as the day I drove off the dealership showroom.

Great quality...looks like the oem part....my son had a bad hum or light vibration at certain speeds on the highway. (2009 AWD grand Cherokee 180000 miles). The splines on the shaft were also getting worn as well, the new one fit on the splines much better and tighter than the old one, but I still wanted to take on possibility of slop out of the splines so I carefully tack welded it to the shaft as well. Completely fixed the humm at about half the price of the only parts store that sold the same doorman joint...most wanted 4-500 for a complete shaft.

Changing the starter on a 09 Grand Cherokee is one of the hardest I have come across. there isn't much out on the internet for help or service manuals either. On my 09 jeep I had to removal the front drive shaft and lower one side of the transmission cross member to get the drive shaft out and then the starter. One I had the front drive removed, I notice the rear CV boot was completely split. All the parts house had was the whole shaft at a ridiculous high price, $300 to $500 dollar. This CV repair kit save the day and has everything included. I would recommend this products over any of the others on the internet.

The price is great the shipping was fast. The replacement is quite easy. The part is absolute junk! Lasted about 200 miles and completely fell apart.

I've installed this part in my non-lifted Jeep Commander. The part would not allow the new bolts shipped to go all the way through the CV joint. The CV joint holes were not large enough to let the unthreaded part of the new bolts to protrude. I had to purchase 6 new bolts at an Ace Hardware for $3 dollars apiece. The new joint after 2 days is performing well and I am grateful for that but I wish I could be credited back through Amazon for my extra incurred cost.

Excellent!! Yet AutoZone was charging $130 for this part. Very easy to install, comes with plenty of grease, and fits perfectly on my 2002 Dodge Dakota 4x4. I did reuse the bolts though, after I cleaned them up. It took me an hour to take the front drive shaft off, replace the CV Joint and put it back up. JUST BE SURE YOU MARK THE FRONT END OF THE DRIVE SHAFT SO YOU KNOW WHERE TO PUT THE BOLTS!!

Well done, perfect fix. It was great to find this item on Amazon. It was packed and shipped promptly. I received it within a few days. This enabled me to repair my sons’ truck to have it ready in time for safe and reliable long range travel over the holiday break. The CV comes in a well labelled box. The parts are sealed bagged within, nicely protected. High speed high temp grease is included. Just the exact amount needed to pack the CV bearing. Installation was straight forward, no surprises and no troubles. The bolts that come in the kit are allen head and a few mm shorter. I reused the original hex head bolts. Very happy overall. Reasonably priced and exactly what I needed and in the timeline required.

Was able to repair my drive shaft with ease, no fitment issues.

Nothing to complain about here! Everything was in the package that was shown when I ordered it. The cv was already pre-greased and the bolts were the right size and length. I put it all together and back in the truck and have had no issues whatsoever!

Bolts bag all ripped and covered in grease, loose parts just floating in the box. Nothing missing though. Retainer band has no notches like in the picture and got a pouch of grease not a tube like in the picture. Will update once its installed and driven a couple thousand km
