I love this lamp. Bought one for my Mom and now for myself. Great for sewing and reading. Light angle is easily adjustable. The bottom is nicely weighted so the lamp is stable.....yet easy to move. The light is easily turned on with a touch. The touchpad is illuminated dimly so it is easily found in the dark. While the light is bright, it does not produce a glare.....this is perhaps the best feature for me since I have migraines from time to time and have always been sensitive to bright lights. The stand is also a very comfortable height which allows the light to shine from a little over shoulder height rather than towering overhead! I highly recommend this lamp. I love the subdued gray and white color, too. It goes with anything!

The Bright-Reader is an excellent product. Both stylish and effective, it provides me with a choice of two brightness levels that, without a doubt, enhance my daily reading experience The built-in diffuser softens the even the brighter of the two brightness levels and produces a glare free reading or work environment. Additionally, the lamp's flexible neck enables me to adjust the height and direction of the light stream. I would buy the Bright-Reader again in a heartbeat.

This was purchased for my wife. She likes to sit on the couch and do pencil art. She had a 50w halogen spot lamp (like for a desk lamp) but old age and heat finally cooked it to the point I couldn't fix it anymore. So I researched carefully and chose this lamp. Unlike the other one, this is a floor lamp but we had space for it. It is a very study lamp, and fairly easy to assemble. Certainly it didn't have the feel of cheap Chinese junk. It is quite bright, obliterating the effect of a strong overhead light in the room. Personally I was a little bit disappointed in the brightness, but my wife in fact uses it on the "low" setting, claiming the high is too bright. So, it is approved by the intended user. One thing to note is that is a diffuse light. There is (apparently) no reflector to focus the light; it is just a bright panel. However, there is a diffuser over the individual bulbs of the panel, so there is none of the strange shadows you get when you have a lot of bright pinpoints of LED lights. It is a smooth light. So, I was quite happy with my purchase, and the intended user, my wife was very happy with it too

Great light for me when painting when natural light is not good

I love this lamp! The height is perfect, and the flexibility of the head is exactly what I needed. The base is heavier than I expected, which means it will be very stable and not fall over if my dog brushes up against it. However, I also needed it to be easy to move from place to place, so it's perfect for that too. The base is heavy plastic; the tubes are metal, and the top is plastic. I love that it has a high/low setting. As a person who is not mechanically gifted, I was forced to stop and read the instructions to complete assembly. I am SO happy with this lamp!

I bought this light for reading, and placed it behind a couch. It has a heavy base, and a gooseneck attached to a rigid metal tube. It’s just the right height to be head level, but can be adjusted at the gooseneck for probably most anyone’s liking. I wouldn’t say it’s dimable, it only has a 3 position rocker switch, off, high, and low; but that’s fine. The color temperature is great for reading and doesn’t fatigue my eyes. It needs to be assembled, I advise to read the directions fully because there are a few specific steps you need to follow. I’m generally a person who can do it without reading the directions, in this case I was glad I read them to avoid incorrect assembly.

Adjusting light brightness levels is somewhat of a minor issue but workable.

I have had a lamp similar for a long time. Nothing was really connected together. There was too many accidents. I received my new lamp today and I was really surprised to see how secure everything was put together. I also received a separate bulb from Amazon that I don't need . I will send it back because the new one includes a bulb which lasts for 50,000 hours. I am so well pleased to have a really good quality lamp. I looked at the reviews for this lamp prior to ordering and it is a 5 star item. Thank you! Jerry Kuchman
