If you make braised meats or soups, this is a great gadget to quickly get rid of all the extra fat which renders off and floats to the top. Simply pour the cooking liquid into this gadget, let the fat rise to the top and pull the trigger to drain the broth/stock without the fat. I use mine for pot roasts (skin off the fat before making gravy) and to get rid of some of the fat when I’m making chicken stock. Fast and easy! The only downside is the fact it is another specialized kitchen gadget which needs storage space. Mine has earned a spot in the pantry.

This is an excellent device for efficiently removing excess fat. It is user-friendly, and its performance surpasses that of conventional fat separators. Additionally, it is easy to clean.

This has made such a big difference in my gravy. Before I could never get all of the fat. It is such a simple design that works well, easy to use and clean.

I bought this for making Jell-O shots, in addition to maybe making gravy later :) It was excellent for preventing the foam layer from going into the shot cups and was super convenient for filling the cups with no difficulty and very little mess.

This thing is amazing. These pictures are from the Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana soup recipe I was trying. And yes it’s bomb, and yes this fat extractor is awesome! In picture 3 you’ll notice a little more fat because there was still liquid (and more fat) in the pot because all the ingredients to the soup were in there. What I will do next time is scoop out the ingredients and add to the pot holding the extracted liquids. Highly recommend!

This fat separator is extremely easy to use and works much more effectively than a traditional fat separator. I like it that I can fill it, pop it in the fridge for the fat to float up and harden, then dispense the clear broth from the bottom directly into any container. When I see that we’re getting to the fat, I slide the lid off and dispose of it in the trash. Everything goes in the dishwasher; it’s durable and doesn’t get scratched up. It is lightweight, easy to assemble, and store.

Buy one for everyone you know!! :) I've tired many separator's in the past and this is the only that does what it supposed to do. Very easy to use & comes apart to wash easily. Does not leak at all through the bottom hole. Brilliant design :) I just bought one for my parents after bringing mine to their house to make the Christmas gravy. Only negative is the peeler that comes with it is useless! It rotates but flips as you are trying to use it. I threw it away.

I have used this separator with meat broth and milk. It was very easy to use and view the line between liquid and fat. It washes well in the dishwasher and separates into three pieces for washing. I let my broth cool a bit, as the separator is plastic, but that's not a problem. I'm very happy with it.

Best oil separator on the market. Easy to use and clean. I’d get a 2 cup if it’s available as this is quite big. If size doesn’t matter, I recommend this fat separator.
