They sell like hotcakes. Lightweight and excellent bass.
I put in an order for this subwoofer, but I must have done it right after they sold their last one. The company contacted me immediately to let me know that they just ran out. They were able to send me the Carpo-15SWPW subwoofer. I love this thing!! I needed something that was lighter than the 100lbs powered sub I was using, and I wanted to get into a 15 inch form factor. The box is solid as a rock, and looks amazing with the white color. No handles that stick out, and the amp is recessed into the box. I do many house parties, and this is absolutely perfect for placement under my table with two small 8 inch passive speakers on the sides. I ordered another one to fill out the system for larger ballroom weddings. I have powered tops, but you can't beat the option of being able to plug in a passive top if needed. I usually plug in a couple of 8 inch tops with 1 inch compression tweeters, and it sounds excellent. No weird hiss at all on any of the speakers. I can't say enough about their customer service. They were on top of everything immediately. Lightweight, versatile, forward projecting bass, and great design.

Know what your buying?
Make sure you need the extra output for the mains. This sub is very clip light heavy and you need to baby it. Bummer should have bought another Metis. That one is a beast. Oh well lesson learned

Decent sub let down by baffling electronics.
I knew that what I was buying was a budget PA sub and not to expect the world out of it. I'm a DJ, but this is mainly intended for use in my finished basement for parties. It's a small space and even if the power claims are over exaggerated, it would be more than adequate for the job. Why I chose this one: Because it can power passive mains. My mains are (coincidentally) Soundtown CARME-105s and this meant I didn't have to buy a separate amp for them. That and because it's narrow it fits in a tight spot that I have made for it for storage when not in use. The box seems built very well. It's heavy. The electronics are baffling. You have the typical generic media player built in to most of these cheap PA systems from China. That's fine. However you have XLR inputs but only for guitar/mic. Balanced connections for a DJ controller are 1/4 TRS (yes, balanced, verified with a multimeter). The inputs are extremely sensitive. Gain staging means everything barely gets turned up at all. Bass/Treble knobs for only the RCA/TRS inputs. An EQ would have been nice but this was cheap so ok. The subwoofer LPF crossover is where the madness begins. The range is 100hz-500hz. In what world anyone want a subwoofer producing anything close to 500hz. If that wasn't bad enough, even at its lowest 100hz section the rolloff doesn't even begin until 250hz. That means that I can't turn the sub volume up without also making muddy mid-bass coming through a 12" sub also louder. Then there's an 80/100hz bass boost (no off setting) that doesn't seem to do anything that I can discern. The manual is scant on details. The generic media player has EQ settings and its own volume control (separate from the knob volume control for it) and none of how the media player works is really documented. In Bluetooth mode it makes weird sounds through the speakers but you only hear it when nothing is playing. It's not loud, but electronic interference is getting through. It overall sounds decent if you keep the sub volume down, but the LPF really needs to go 100hz lower. It's like whoever designed the electronics didn't know what you use a subwoofer for. I did end up using it for a gig unexpectedly the day I got it. I pushed it pretty hard and it did well. No clipping or anything bad really. Handled it like a champ, but like mentioned earlier too much mid-bass and there was nothing I could do about it. After the warranty expires I'm going to try and modify the crossover, because despite the crossover issue I kinda like it. I just wonder what the decision process behind it was.

Great value and EXCELLENT Customer Service!!
Sound Town stands behind their products. I had a sub that wouldn't power up. Dead in the water. I was fortunate though that it occurred before a big show I was setup and ready to go. I had my old subs to fall back on. I emailed support (Sunday) and they responded the next day, asking for details and possibly a video showing my gear, connections. After that review, they are sending out a replacement. Now that's what great customer service looks like!! BTW, I love these subs! I had custom covers made, and I put casters on them.

These units sound great...well worth the money.
I purchased two of these units and operate them with a pair of passive tops on each sub per side...I have done indoor and outdoor events comfortably for audiences from 50 to more than 400 people with no issues at all...the high pass for the tops and internal crossover for the subwoofer works great and even though it doesn't say it has a built in limiter, it must, because even when the clip light is flashing, I have not heard any audible distortion on any occasions. The groups I work with find them amazing...especially for their compact size...I will be purchasing another pair in the near future to expand and enhance the system even more.
