A Super Durable, Extremely Bright Magnifier Lamp That's Almost TOO Strong!
This is an incredible lamp. It's very durable, maneuvers easily, has extremely bright LEDs ( 9 watts, 800 Lumens) & allows for adjustment from cool to warm color temp (ranging between warm 3,000 Kelvin and cool 6,000 Kelvin). My wife is a Blythe doll customizer & needs to work very closely on her work when she's sculpting or painting. She's used headlamp magnifiers, reading glasses, etc.. but nothing has ever worked "quite right." I've used fluorescent magnifier lamps for years & asked her if she would like to try one out that would be brighter & would not get hot. She was all in. So we purchased this unit from Brightech as it allowed for super magnification (225% across a 3" lens). Another important feature was the ability to adjust the color temperature of the light. So she could simulate natural daylight (as close as can be simulated) while she was working. The unit arrived quickly & was boxed well from the manufacturer. Amazon did a good job packing as well (which is not always the case). The unit assembled in a few minutes with the included desk clamp & was ready to test. One thing to note..this lamp ships ONLY with a DESK CLAMP. It does not come with any other type of mounting bracket. So if your desk has no lip, then you will either need to drill a hole in the desk, purchase a different kind of mount or build a bracket (this is what I ended up doing) to attach to the desk then attach the clamp to that. The pic I included was the unit briefly attached at my workspace using the desk clamp. So now we come to the part about being potentially TOO STRONG. If you aren't used to using a magnifier lamp of this power, then there will be an adjustment period. Especially with a 225% magnification. If you're using this lamp for things like reading, crosswords or jigsaw puzzles, then it should be a breeze as the stuff your magnifying won't move much. But it still may take a bit to get your eyes adjusted. However, she was working with sculpting tools, her Dremel, paint brushes, etc.. & was constantly bumping the lamp with her tools trying to gauge her distance. So the lamp would shake & move slightly each time. The other potential concern was the actual magnification. It's so strong in the center, but if you move off to the sides where the optics go out of focus, you can feel a little dizzy. And again, this all comes with the acclimation period. This is something you would probably get used to over time. Outside of those concerns, this lamp is otherwise awesome. I've already comendered it for reading serial numbers off of small electronic parts, doing repairs that would otherwise require a headlamp & magnifying glasses or reading manuals or documentation that seem to shrink in size each year. It's easy to set up, easy to move out of the way when not in use, the LED lamps will last forever & Brightech will even extend their already exceptional 3 year warranty to 5 years just for registering your product. Overall, I would say a excellent lamp for just under $70.00 to the door (with Prime). Oh, and if you need a non-stationary version of this item, Brightech offers a rolling model. It's the same lamp (Brightech LightView PRO) but with a 6 wheel base.

Comfort for the eyes; more possibilities with your hands...
I started using it now and what I can say is that it exceeded my expectations. A few years ago I had a Dazor similar to this one, whose arm rusted despite the environment (my office) being free of corrosive factors in the air, as it happens near beaches. In addition, the lamp/lens assembly was heavy and supported by a joint that was not always able to keep it in the adjusted position. I consider this Brightech lamp to be a very well engineered device, whose mechanical operation is smooth and pleasant, as if the lens were floating in the air, always keeping itself adjusted in position (level, inclination) regardless of a change in the angle of the arm (thanks to a mechanism which makes the appropriate correction). As for the finish, its appearance impresses well. I believe it will have good durability, without the corrosion problem (rust) that I had on the Dazor, because most of the external area of the arm is made of non-ferrous material. The lighting is good and quite versatile to adjust to the user's needs. For my personal taste, it would be even better if the day light and cool white intensity adjustments could be reduced to zero, thus resulting in a single color temperature (turning off the yellow or white LEDs completely). In the product description (GREAT FOR WORK BENCH OR CRAFT TABLE) there is information: “The lamp is plugin operated and works with 110v - 220v outlets; you would just need to use a plug adapter to use it outside of the US, as the plug is made to fit standard US AC outlets”. However, the label on the bottom of the lamp/lens assembly I received says “120V / 60Hz 1-9 W”. In November 2017 (Customer questions & answers) a Brightech USA seller informed that at that time only the 120V model was manufactured. Therefore, I believe that the bi-volt information in the product description is wrong. Fortunately, and just in case, I connected it to a stabilizer with a 120V output, as the voltage in my city is 220V. BE CAREFUL NOT TO DESTROY YOUR LAMP !!! All in all, I am quite happy with the purchase and would recommend the Brightech LightView Pro Magnifying Desk Lamp, 2.25x as I believe it is a good product at a very affordable price.

Great desk lamps! Fully adjustable very useful!
I bought these in 2022 and I’ve been using them ever since. Still going strong with no issues. I think they’re great value for the money. I work with crystal/minerals. I have one of these set up where I process material and another one set up where I photograph and take videos. They work perfectly for my needs. I love that they’re on adjustable swiveling arms so that I can move them to different positions easily. The head of the light also rotates from side to side so you can tilt it to different angles for your liking this is also very handy. The color of the light and the brightness is also adjustable which is a nice feature that some of the other lights don’t have. Also, the magnifying lens on top is very handy at certain times. My eyes are pretty good so I don’t use that feature too often, but it has been a lifesaver here and there. I would definitely recommend these.

Fantastic Quality – Replacing My 6-Year-Old LightView Lamp Head
I’ve been using the Brightech LightView magnifying floor lamp daily since 2019 in my electrolysis practice. After six solid years of reliable use, the plastic casing on the lamp head finally cracked (understandable, since I often reposition it by the head instead of the base). I purchased this desk version as a replacement, and it fits the bill perfectly. (The desk version lamp fits directly into the floor base previously purchased.) The brightness is fully adjustable, the magnification is crystal clear, and the optical quality is excellent—I can easily see individual hair follicles, which is essential for my work. The articulating arms move smoothly, and once positioned, they stay put. It's sturdy, well-made, and performs just as well—if not better—than the original. I’ve already repurchased it and would absolutely do so again. Great value for the quality. I just hope Brightech eventually offers a version with even stronger magnification as I get older!

Great lamp, be aware of weight
Lamp description says" 0.01 ounces" weight. Not. This is several pounds and is a heavy lamp folks. I have gone through two different clamp brackets now failed and snapped because they could not deal with the weight of this lamp being adjusted (one clamp was zinc-alloy did last a few years before stress cracks appeared). Going to try to find a pure steel clamp for this. The lamp itself has performed top notch, and I would buy it again, no question. It has been a solid lamp for several years. Just be ready for the weight.

Good for everyday use
I first purchased the smaller magnifier. It works just fine and I am happy with it but with the frequency of use for me I decided to try the larger one. The larger one is much easier to maneuver. It can be adjusted with just a finger. The smaller may require both hands at times, especially when using the base rather than the clamp. The larger one is clamp only since it is too big for a base. The photos of the two are maybe a little deceptive of the size. The larger one dwarfs the smaller one. I much prefer the larger one because with one finger I can pull the magnifier/lamp all the way over my desk which helps me with reading a book in my lap. Very useful with my diminishing eyesight. A nice feature of the smaller one are three different light colors with a button to change between them and two more buttons for the brightness level. The controls are on an inline switch on the USB cable. The switch is small and not good quality with the face of each little button already coming loose in short time. It is shown in the photo of the base and clamp that comes with it. The larger one has two sets of controls for the two colors it provides with brightness level buttons for each set. An on/off button is at the top of the magnifier with the brightness/color controls at the bottom. That is an advantage since it's easier to reach than trying to find the switch on the cable of the smaller one. The larger magnifier may look like it casts light up but it doesn't. I will swivel 90 degrees but not 180 so it will not cast light on the ceiling either. It will swivel straight up so that the light is directly in your face if needed. The smaller one will swivel 180 if you wanted to use it as a room light. Since it is short though you will see the bare light if you are standing up. Finally the larger is more elegant in design with no springs in view. Overall they are both good products. For repetitive stationary use where you won't need to move it often you can save money with the small one. For my use the larger one works much better.

Excellent light with a clever design
For me, this is a two function light in that I use it sometimes as a magnifying glass for painting small model pieces, but I also use it as a very good flexible task lamp for all projects. What's unique about this lamp is the clever design which isn't really mentioned in the description. Instead of one or two bright bulbs like most lamps, this has a ring of about 50 small LED bulbs surrounding the magnifying glass. The effect is similar to that of lighted makeup mirrors in theatre dressing rooms that create a very even lighting source minimizing shadows. So you get a very smooth light from all directions on whatever you are working on. But wait- there's more! Here's where the clever part comes in. There is a second ring of small LED bulbs outside the first ring. And each ring is a different color, with one ring being slightly orange to create a "warm" light and the second ring being slightly blue to create a "cool" light. Each ring has its own brightness adjustment so you can change the quality (color temperature) of the light by mixing a different brightness of each ring of LEDs. The net result is that I bought this initially to use as a closeup lens for detail work, but now use the lamp all the time as a very excellent desk lamp that delivers a range of very even light to my projects. I feel this lamp is definitely worth the money; I'm very happy with it.

Very good worklight
I build models, so I use lots of magnifying devices and light sources. The LightView lamp suits my needs very well. The magnifying lens is very good, and the light stays where I put it when I move the arm. I generally keep mine on brightest and whitest, as I need to see clearly, but the fact that the brightness and color levels can be adjusted is useful for judging paint colors. I'm very happy with the light, although I could mention a couple of very minor gripes. First, the clamp does not open wide enough for me. I use an old table as a workbench, and the clamp simply doesn't open enough for me to get it over the edge of the table, which has a skirt of about 3 1/2 inches. I got around this by using a small bar clamp to clamp a short piece of 1" x 4" to the table and then clamped the lamp to that. Not elegant or pretty but it works. If you use a desk or bench with a narrower lip than mine you shouldn't have an issue. Other (very small issues) are the controls and their placement. The brightness and color adjustment are separate, step-by-step digital switches, rather than "infinite" analog knobs or dials. Again, not really a big deal, but once or twice I've wanted a brightness that was in-between steps, and had to make do. The switches for the adjustments are also touch-sensitive, so if you grab the light in the wrong place to move it while working, you can inadvertently change the lighting, but once you learn to grab the light by the handle this isn't really a problem. The on/off switch is a nice chunky physical switch. The lens is solid glass, and provides good magnification for close-in work. It's a nice wide lens, about five inches, and seems to meet the product description of about 200+% magnification. The lens appears to be good quality, with no glitches or bubbles. It's also packed separately to avoid damage in shipment, which is a good idea. The light does not generate much heat, being LED, and only pulls 9 watts or so, so it's pretty energy-efficient. The power cord and plug are heavy-duty and the overall construction is solid and feels quality. Overall I think this is an excellent lamp, and it is working extremely well for me. I would definitely recommend it.

well built desklight.
I was replacing an existing desk light. This one was more expensive than I would have liked, but it looked like it had sufficient quality to warrant it. When I got it, it is very well put together. holds it's pose anywhere it is set. the light is powerful and flexible. very solid.

Just right for stitching and fine work
Very pleased with this product after many years of searching for the right light/magnifier combination for my cross-stitch work. The magnification and lens size are just right and I love having the adjustable light density; much easier on the eyes. The lamp was shipped assembled and seems to have pretty solid construction. It's been easy to use so far, but there was no instruction booklet enclosed at all, and at least some information on how to optimize the adjustable light settings, specs on replacement parts, etc. would have been helpful.

Inservible
