comfortable and easy to use
This is the second grip strength tester I have owned. The first one had a straight handle which was very uncomfortable. It put all the stress on the thumb side of my hand. In addition, the opening for my fingers was too narrow. My index finger would press painfully against the handle. The tester was unusable because of the width of my hands. This tester has a wider opening (3 1/4") which is just enough for me. The handle is curved, which distributes stress more evenly across my palm heel. It is very comfortable to use. The electronics are exactly the same between the meters and are probably the same for any electronic meter. The controls are easy to use and the display is easy to read. This meter also has both a rechargeable battery with USB cable for charging, and provision for two AAA batteries (not provided, and not really needed). A very good product.

Works Great - Not the best Directions.
I just got this Hichor hand meter. The directions are not the best. No where does it talk about being able to use for both hands. It is almost like it is for one armed people. So I’m assuming????? You set up #1 for right hand. #2 for left hand for person one. Person two get #3 & #4. ??? Is this what people do? I assumed it came with rechargeable batteries with the cord included. But never saw directions says 1st to charge fully. So back to reading….and saw please note……explains no batteries…..must install reg batteries. Cord is just for using if there are no batteries. So back to figuring out how to set up for right & left hands first 2 family members.UPDATE: customer service reached out offering to compensate me for the troubles of trying to figure this thing out by the lack of full directions. I felt bad, cause the Grip Strengthener works great and I should not have given it 3 stars I was just so frustrated, then I felt it implied that it had rechargeable batteries, which it did not. But the item works great , after getting thru my frustrations and figuring it out!

Hand strength measuring but wish it fit my huge hands!!!
Works as intended unless you over loosten it when adjusting it for comfort. Its easy to setup and has a tons of user number slots. You pick slot then sex then age and start to do the measuring. When you go back in after that you only need to press on/set to turn it on and the left and right arrows to find your user number and press start again. The only reason I gave it a 4 is its not one size fits all. My hands are too big. More so my right hand and I have to squash my pinky painfully and it holds back my squeezing for sure. I get it to a higher reading with my left hand even though im right handed. P.s. there is a setting to flop between kg and lb.

Plastic has a rubber-like texture but not in a bad way
I was expecting this thing to be weak, creaking plastic. It is not. I like getting surprised by higher quality with Amazon, occasionally. It has a smooth rubberized plastic surface, I think is great. I suspect that would absorb skin oils and get problems eventually, but I think that would take years and years. The handle does not really move noticeably. That is as I expected. Probably piezoelectric, like all the modern scales. But that also means it probably is not ideal for exercising your hands. For that, you need something with spring steel or a weight on a pulley. But it does what it is supposed to do, which is measure your grip strength. I was able to set up 2 users without using the manual, so reasonably intuitive. I will have to look at the manual and look at all the other features. The display works excellent, and is backlit. No difficulty seeing or reading it, even in the dark. The buttons make a sound, not electronic, just mechanical, sounds fine, and it is nice to know that a push is registered. Reasonably compact, so storage should be no difficulty. No, my only disappointment is that I don't appear to be as strong as I once was. I have a ways to go. I am somewhat concerned about the reading limit, but I probably won't peg it for a year or two. I am only getting to 190 lb. So, 74 lb to go. I figure if I can peg it at some point, I can change the distance setting to something where it is less optimized for my hand. That should be good for at least another 20 or 30 lb.They probably should have made it to go to 300 lb. More people would think it would work for them. Most of those would be wrong, and the 264 lb would be just fine, but people think they are stronger than they are.I can't speak to accuracy. I have some spring things and I can completely close the 200 lb and get close with the 250 lb. But it is probably incorrect, rather than this. Piezoelectric scales are usually very accurate, so I would think this is as well.Oh, I really like that it has both rechargeable and battery options. I tend to not buy stuff with rechargeable, because I have been stung with stuff that only recharges a few times, like my blood pressure wrist thing. Am I really going to be able to take that apart, and put in a new battery? This is what made me buy. That, and the good price. But as I said, I got more than I expected. I am rarely really pleased with a purchase...especially with inflation the way it is.Oh, just learned something new. Don't keep doing it over and over, or you will get a blister. You probably are not going to beat your first or second try per hand anyway, at least I didn't. Put it away, and try the next day.

Product is great but I still register as weak!
I bought this when I realized how much weaker I am than my sister (of course, I’m old). The exercises are simple and I’m working on registering higher than weak!

Great Device
Use to improve grip strength and also helps relieve me of carpal tunnel issues. Great build quality. I have read that using these devices can help with lowering blood pressure which is a nice bonus.

Internal sensor/frame warps over time—buy a metal unit instead!
Over time, the plastic frame and internal sensor on this unit warp/twist under heavy force, causing the readings to drop significantly.Back in February 2026, my peak right-hand reading was 202 lbs. Since then, the unit has been squeezed over 1,500 times by more than 80 different people. Eventually, all of my strong friends noticed their numbers consistently dropping on this device. My own readings fell by at least 20 lbs, maxing out around 188 lbs.Frustrated that my hard training wasn't showing results, I bought a metal GD Dyno 200 to compare. On the GD Dyno, I immediately pulled 218.4 lbs—a number that actually makes sense, considering I can nearly close a Captains of Crush #2.5 (rated at 237.5 lbs). To confirm the Hichor was the issue, I tested them back-to-back at the exact same handle width: I hit 218 lbs on the GD Dyno, but only 188 lbs on the Hichor. If you are training seriously, avoid the plastic units. Your numbers will eventually stall and decline as the frame warps. Save yourself the headache and buy a solid metal dynamometer instead.

Cool and fun gift
Got this for my husband for a holiday gift, it was very entertaining and informative! Turns out that I have better grip strength than he does. He’s working on fixing that situation.

Good price. Works well. Adjustable.
Works great. Handle can be adjusted for hand/finger length. Consistent results after re-testing. Even rates your strength based on your age. I've been exercising for years so my results were pretty good as I expected. I really like that you can now actually measure if your grip strength is improving. A neat tool for not a lot of money. It IS mostly all plastic but it seems durable and accurate. Recommended.

Estafa
Es un producto chino. De mala calidad. En otras paginas he visto por 13 euros y me han cobrado 100 y al devolver hay que pagar los gastos de envio aranceles y enviar a nueva york.. una estafa por todos los lados
User
Worth it if you're training grip strength or checking overall fatigue
Works well. Grip could be a little more comfortable, but I'm not going to mark it down for that. Helps me keep track of my progress, allows me to know when I should break from training.
User
Good cheap way to track your improving grip strength
Comes with a chart to tell you where you should be given your gender and age bracket. Provides the ability to adjust for pounds or kilograms. Allows you to set for many different users to track based on their age and gender. Good device for the low price.

We have used this at parties! Guys can’t resist testing their grips!
More fun to use than you might think! We bring it out at gatherings and dinner parties and guys ( girls too) absolutely cannot resist trying it and comparing their grip strengths. It’s not always the weight lifter in the group that has the strongest grip so that makes it more fun.For personal use it is an accurate way to measure any gains in grip so it functions well for that use. It was money well spent. Good product.
