DF012DSE 7.2V Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/4" Hex Driver-Drill Kit with Auto-Stop Clutch

Bought it for my husband. He's pleased with it. Had a Craftsman before but this has more power and overall better.

This is my go-to driver for small tasks and has performed perfectly so far. The torque clutch stops rotation after one hit, which is much better than on my drills. I disassembled some furniture today and this saved an incredible amount of time and was much easier to use than a drill or impact driver. I then used it to pilot drill holes then drive 2 1/2" #9 screws to hang a birdhouse. It will also find use on electrical work and working on my bikes. The size makes it more convenient to carry than even the small impact drivers. The only negatives are that the price is high and I wish it had a battery level indicator like the LXT batteries do.

If you need a small compact pen driver with power to spare, this is the best choice. I have the Panasonic 3.6V pen driver and it has been my work horse for the last five years. Although expensive right now, it certainly is the best choice for driving those occasional stubborn screws. It has twice the torque of the previous generation and the electronic clutch works just as good as my other driver. It's built to last, very high quality just like the Panasonic. If you happen to look for reviews, I was not able to find any. There are no videos on YouTube or any website that I could find presently. On some websites that sell this they state that it has variable speed 0-200 and 0-650. THIS IS NOT VARIABLE SPEED! It has 2 fixed speeds. It's as small as my other driver, the led light is bright and on spot. I have also driven some 3 inch screws into a thick wooden block without any problems. This driver will surely make you smile with the size and power this thing has. Good work Makita!!!

Works great. I use it for my RC cars, can drill, accept other fittings. Battery lasts forever.

I'm not a huge handy man type guy. So this tool has by far been the most used and useful power tool i've ever bought. I've used it to assemble desks, server racks, computers and anything else you can think of that doesn't require some tiny little screwdriver to get the job done.

My use is around the house. Battery charges in less then an hour, holds charge for a good length of time. Clutch works great, I use the lower speed for more torque. Be careful when going from pistol grip to straight stick, you can pinch your hand (between thumb & index finger) at the pivot point. I recommend this product & buy it again.

I had another pencil style cordless driver but I need more power without grabbing a cordless drill (I work on setting up electric guitars). It's a 7.2 volt system with 2 batteries and charger and a cool automatic clutch shutoff feature. When the tool reaches the torque setting you have set (1 to 21) the tool will shut off, no typical clutch sounds. It's not a cheap tool but very well made!

The Makita cordless screwdriver a d drill driver is powerful and light. Although the it does not have a fast spin, but the torque is good enough to drive a 2" screw without pre-drill. I tried both the screw driver a d drilling functions and both do a good job for tasks around the house. This driver/drill does not have trigger button, but instead it has forward and reverse button on the left side of the drill. Luckily I am right handed so I can press it with thumb. For left handed people, you may have to use one of your fingers. One complain I have it that I wish it had trigger type button. Otherwise I like the cordless driver/drill because it's light and powerful a d has LED light.

This is a cute and effective product. It's light and powerful. I also have bigger drill/screw drivers with large battery packs, but this one I can stick in my jacket pocket if I want. I suspect it is mulit gender friendly for those whose partners are less comfortable with big power tools.
