Ford OEM Carplay USB Hub Module Upgrade for Sync 3 Models HC3Z-19A387-F

I went years without knowing my truck had CarPlay capability since it didn't work plugging it into these ports. Turns out the 2016 models were shipped out before Apple finalized the software integration or whatever. Space is a little tight to work in, luckily I had the tools necessary to pry it up without damaging anything, it's easy to replace and there's videos online showing you how. Had it for about a year now and I was initially enamored by actually having CarPlay on my screen, now I've adjusted an its just become normal. However it's way better in terms of navigation and music, so if you still have the old hub module that is non-CarPlay compatible I highly recommend upgrading.

Fit perfectly in my 2016 F150 and no issues. Plug and play. Get this if you update the APIM to sync 3.

I bought this USB hub for my Ford F-150 after Apple CarPlay stopped working, and this ended up being the perfect solution. Installation was extremely easy and required no tools at all—just pop the old one out, plug in the two wiring connectors in the back, and snap the new hub in place. The whole install took about 5 minutes. CarPlay immediately started working again with no issues. If you’re having USB or CarPlay problems in your F-150, this is an easy and affordable fix that works exactly as advertised.

Well worth it to install CarPlay on ford edge. Instructions online shows how easily this can be completed Make sure update the software. That was the harder part.

Worked perfectly for 2016 Ford Edge. 15-20 min of prying out the old hub and now I have car play. Can’t be happier!

For the longest time I had no idea the 2016 model of my Ford Escape was capable of CarPlay/Android Auto. I put up with the inconsistent bluetooth for years! It took some research (Google + YouTube videos), patience, trial and error, and using a 3rd-party tool called "Syn3Updater" from CYANLABS to get CarPlay working correctly. Now my main reason for hating this car is solved, I can drive this car for a bit longer until I can afford a new one!

Works as it should. Apple carplay loads and works normally!

It works! I got apple car play on my 2016 f150 lariat. I had my sync updated to 3.0, plugged the old one out and the new one in. However It was a little tough to pop it out even with trim tools but, I highly recommend it. Definitely a step up from the standard sync software.
