It's Hot
We have had the Ember mugs for a few years. The charging base for one failed and we ordered a replacement product. It arrive on time and works as advertised. It's a bit expensive but the base and mug work well to keep hot beverages hot. I would recommend the product!

Effectively Provides Ember Mug Heating Around My Home

Bought as a replacement
I bought my first Ember mug in February 2021. The base finally quit on me a couple weeks ago. One of the charging pins broke. The pins seem to be spring-loaded, and one of the springs must have broken - so one pin no longer made contact with the charging ring on the mug. My Ember mug has become a true guilty pleasure. They’re stupidly expensive — but I do love mine. When my base finally failed I didn’t hesitate to buy a replacement. After making my purchase I wrote to Ember and asked if I could send them my old broken base so they could recycle it. Sadly, they don’t do that, they instead advised me to take it to an eWaste drop off. They also offered to send me a replacement base even though I’m sure I’m out of warranty. If you’re considering buying a replacement base unit I’d advise you to contact ember customer support first.

Works Great
My wife loves her Ember mug, but her charging coaster stopped working properly...one of the contacts kept getting stuck inside. She suspects that she got some kind of liquid inside, which was causing the contact to stick and not charge her mug. After a couple of disappointing mornings without her mug, she decided to get a replacement. She ordered the Ember Charging Coaster 2, which worked perfectly with her Ember mug. She now has a charged mug which has resulted in hot coffee, which has resulted in a happy wife. She is very happy with her Ember Charging Coaster 2, and we recommend it to anyone who needs a second or replacement charger.
