Does The Job
I got this for one reason and one reason only......to easily pick up the kitty litter that my 3 cats scatter all over the garage floor. I've been using my Dyson, but thought that it was a terrible use of such a vacuum cleaner! Plus it's big and cumbersome and I had to deal with that cord! I've been using the sweeper for a few days and it does the job perfectly and easily! I use both featherweight litter and the regular clumping litter. This sweeper picks both up easily and very quickly. It's very light weight and I love how it works side ways as well as up and down. I also love how easily it empties into the garbage can. Having found success in the garage, I tried it on my household hard surface floors. It picks up the smallest crumbs and even things like light onion skins and small pieces of paper. It will pick up anything my cats track from outside. I now use this sweeper more than my vacuum. This sweeper is not a vacuum. It does not pick up dust or fur or dust bunnies. It will pick up particles on the surface of hard carpets. It is not meant to be used on soft area rugs. If you have a textured rug or floor mat, and something falls between the carpet texture, it will not pick it up because it has no suction. It's a sweeper. It takes around 12 hours or so to completely charge when you first get it. The instructions say that you can keep it on the charger at all times, and I do that. The longest I've used it for is about 10 minutes and it takes a few minutes to recharge that time. It should be hung up, not stored upright. The handle has a hole to put it on a hook. I have mine stored about 5 feet from the electrical outlet. I have used it numerous times a day because it's so very easy to use and does the job very well. I had a regular non-electric sweeper that I used in my classroom. It worked well, but needed several feet of space to get the wheels to turn enough to sweep up the debris. With this electric model, it picks up debris immediately and in very tight spaces. Plus this one can pick up debris going sideways, which the nonelectric models cannot do. I would highly recommend it for anyone who needs a sweeper for all the crumbs and stuff that gets on the floor. But remember, its not a vacuum cleaner.

Effective, convenient, for a reasonable price.
Pleasantly surprised with this delightful way to quickly clean up a mess or give a room a freshly groomed look without dragging out the big vacuum. This sweeper is super lightweight, rechargeable cordless and very little sound. Quick to empty without touching the debris. Works on my throw rugs, tile, wood floors. Not a vacuum just an upgraded version of the old fashioned “ carpet sweeper I remember growing up with. I did make sure to charge the sweeper “ the full 10 hours before using the first time”, per the instructions. It seems to hold its charge well. Handy tool clips on for clearing any hair etc that might accumulate on the brushes. Swivel handle lets me get into narrow spaces, under furniture and next to baseboards. My new best friend for light cleaning days and touch-ups ! ( my robot is jealous.)

The Finest Cordless Sweeper You Could Hope To Own - Seriously
I needed a small sweeper style vacuum for keeping my small home office (detached from the house) clean and free from debris tracked in from outside, and the job is a bit more than I would trust to something unpowered. I was previously using a nice little Shark brand powered vacuum of the same style, but after about 18 months of light use (once per week I would say) it died on me, pretty much the battery gave out. When I went to replace the unit I was appalled to see that the price had gone from $25 to $60 and there was no way I was going to pay that much for a little stick vac sweeper - so the research began. I don't know what the deal is with these things, but it is absurdly impossible to find a powered sweeper for under $30, let alone one that is well rated. I bounced back and forth between about 6 different models and even checking prices between Amazon and eBay and before I knew it I was once again looking at $60 models! After months of this I finally got tired of carrying my household vac outside to the office, so I finished my research and ultimately ordered this Black and Decker model. To be honest, the biggest reason I chose this was the price - it was the ONLY model that was below the $30 mark (albeit a penny) and the only one with a lithium-ion battery. Shipping was fast and well-secured as usual with Amazon, and 2 days later the unit arrived. Assembly was a snap - literally, the 4 poles and vac head snapped right together, and I immediately plugged the unit in and allowed it to fully charge before using it, even though I was tempted to try it early. I especially like the small utility brush they provided for cleaning the brushes, which also snaps right onto the handle so you don't lose it and always have it close by. Another great feature is the small magnet on the bottom of the handle AND the vacuum head which function to hold the vac head flat against the pole and the wall for neat and tidy storage. It took nearly ALL day to fully charge the unit as it arrived from the factory, but eventually the little red charge indicator light finally went off and it was ready to use. I'm not a big fan of the charging port on this thing itself - it is notched to only insert it one way, and it requires a firm push to fully engage, which means you can forget about connecting the charger one-handed. I also question the longevity of such a connector, but only time will tell on that regard. Once I had a full charge I was off to the races and tried this thing on every surface I could find in my office, and then moved it inside the hgouse to try it there. My office has a combination of linoleum "tiles" along with a light-pile carpet, an area rug, a small welcome matt and then some plywood near the doors - and inside I tested the sweeper on my standard ceramic tiles, hardwood floor (not pergo) and a stand-pile carepeting - so I think I can say that between the two I tested close to every surface one might use this on, save some pergo flooring and marble. Considering that this vacuum isn't really a vacuum, it is a "cordless sweeper" actually, I would say that this unit performed amazingly and well-beyond my expectations. I have zero complaints with its performance on any of the hard surfaces I tested, including the linoleum tiles, ceramic tiles, plywood and hardwood and it also did a pretty effective job on the low-pile carpets too. To me, this device has performed better than just a cordless sweeper and does a GREAT job at making fast, easy work of cleaning up daily messes and spills. I wanted something that could keep my floors looking and feeling clean even in barefeet which I go often here in the summer, and this unit fits the bill perfectly. I am continuously amazed at how close it cleans to the edges of the device/walls/baseboards, and because it has brushes on all 4 sides of the cleaning head, it tends to get most debris in a single pass. My office is pretty small so I can't really speak about the battery life of this unit, but I will say that I haven't had any issues with running out of power yet, and I've found myself cleaning up even more since I purchased this sweeper. It is just so convenient and fast to just hit my floors with this, which takes all of maybe 3 minutes, and then I'm good to go! Oh and emptying the debris bin is a snap and mess-free - just position the unit over top of a trash can and then squeeze together the 2 clips on the top of the head. The trap door opens fully and dumps EVERYTHING in one swift action, and you can just set the sweeper back on the ground to click it back in place and lock it for the next use. Obviously this device lacks the power and suction to dig out deep, ground-in dirt and debris, but anyone who goes into the purchase of one of these devices with the understanding that it is a CORDLESS SWEEPER (no matter how many times I mistakenly used the term "vacuum" in this review) will have a hard time writing a bad review of this product. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the overly long initial charging time, but mostly because of how much I dislike the power charging connector itself. The device gets 5 stars for sure on performance and ease-of-use, I just can't get past thinking that charging port is going to cause me issues down the road. Here's to hoping I am wrong, but DO NOT let that stop you from getting this IF you need a great quality cordless SWEEPER. And no, I didn't get this at a discount, I paid full-price.

Cleans good, but watch out for pet hair
SEE BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES!!! I like peanuts in the shell, I keep a bag in my bedroom. However when breaking open the shell, the crumbs fly all over. I used the huge Hoover Pet Hair vacuum last time, but this is just a small area, and believe me, pushing that Hoover around is like pushing a 1976 Buick Electra 225 up a hill! I was going to get one of those sweepers that turn the brush only if you keep it moving, but when I saw this was on a a reduced price, and with a small motor I was sold. So glad I went with this over the manual sweeper. The area I need to vacuum is very small, and is plush carpeting. This did a great job, and it was half dead when I used it, I ran it down to zero power. The carpet is clean enough now of all those messy shells, and it even picked up some dog hair as well ( for those that don't know the dog hair is really called Pomeranian Glitter!) I will be doing the finishing sweeping when it gets to a full charge, but from what I have seen of this Black and Decker mini sweeper, I am very happy and impressed. The edge brishes work good as well. If you are looking at one of those sweepers that depend on the wheels to drive the brush, DON'T! Just put a little more to it and get the battery powered unit, you will be glad you did! Will update if any thing changes. Oh, and it has a limited 2 year warranty. Thanks. Kem. 4/8/24 Update: May, 13. The sweeper on carpet tends to stop running when pushed forward, unless I am very slow and apply no downward pressure on the main brush. It nosedives into the carpet, and when that happens, the motor stops running. What I did to correct this was add a little bit of lift to the front suspension "bumps" on the bottom, that would give the brush enough lift. Only about an 1/8", but it seems to stop it from shutting down on forward thrusts. Hot glue gun helps with this problem. Update June 29. BEWARE OF DOG HAIR BINDING UP THE BRUSHES. Dog hair will get into the end of the brush bushings, and this will bind up the brushes to the point that the brushes will barely turn. It's about impossible to remove all the hair without taking the sweeper apart. But once cleaned up, it works like new again!!

It does not like Long Dog Hair !!!!
Terrible ......gone thru 4 of these and the motor does not last with long dog hair as it gets wrapped inside the ends of the roller and stops the motor. Very sad as it works good when it works but it only lasts a couple few months with long dog hair. ,( I guess thats the problem) although im always pulling dog hair out and off the rollers. Im trying thr other as seen on TV swivel sweeper as I see that you can pop out the rollers to clean them and had the same easy way to dump the rubbish from the tray. If you dont have long dog hair to pick up I hope this one works for you. Before the long dog hair I didnt have this problem . I just dont understand the problem really . The motor just quits on the last 2 or 3 the first 2 I had lasted a couple years but the top of the handle broke off before the motor stopped. Anyway thats my honest review.

Perfect sweeper for my needs!
Due to limited mobility in my arms and having three dogs, even my regular cordless vacuum was too heavy and bulky for me to use. I purchased this for daily vacuuming of dog hair and pollen from outside to use in between my cleaning lady doing a heavy vacuuming. It is absolutely perfect for my needs. It's easy to maneuver around the house, is lightweight, and the battery is long lasting. I appreciate the swivel handle. Sometimes I need to go over a mess a couple of times, but no big deal. I see others complaining about this, but this is not a vacuum--it is a carpet sweeper! It is super easy to empty the dust bin. So glad I purchased this--makes my life so much easier.

THIS is NOT a Vacuum
Love this product because between vacuuming I can use this for cleanups . You must remember, it is not a vacuum so there is no suction and the brushes produce a little breeze so it might blow some messes (tissue paper pieces or onion skin?)around but that can be overcome by changing the direction of the "broom". I use mine every day. Easier than a broom because no dustpan... this is easy to empty. I have a very hairy long haired cat so I do clean the brushes most everytime I use it. It is just the best little tool for the hardwood and tile floors and shorter nap carpet. It may bog down in thick carpet or some shags but use it on everything I can. It works well on my area rugs. The battery lasts pretty well as advertised. I don't need a long time to sweep up messes so I don't use it for hours at a time. usually just half an hour at the most. ***UPDATE: been using this since summer and still working like a champ... I did find that static electricity attracts lots of debris to the outside of the unit (it is plastic) so I rub it with a fabric softener sheet before I use it. Still working like a champ first part of December and I use it everyday for a once over. UPDATE**** Just sad that I have to downgrade my stars... but the battery is running low and it does not hold a charge like it did. That just started happening & I have been using it just about every day since November. HOW EVER... that is not even 6 months and I really am not happy about disposing of this now into the landfill never to be seen again. I will have to resort to a corded unit I am afraid BUT it worked great as I stated above until this last week.

Bust Buy
Such a great product, very lightweight, easy to maneuver, and it picks up quite a bit on our LVP floors. Definitely recommend for those who want something portable and versatile. It definitely gets the job done.

Useful broom
Good and durable. Only concern is whether it will scratch my tiles flooring.

What’s in the box & works well so far!
Another great Black & Decker product. I wanted something light weight, easy to use, and effective. So far so good! Easy to click the handle pieces together. Really like the tool to cut hair caught up in the rollers. LOVE the ability to squeeze the dustbin release from above - makes dumping quick, easy and no mess. The size was smaller than I expected, but good things call in small packages - a picture provided for a size reference. Works well on my low pile carpet stairs, and bare floors. Remember it’s a sweeper, not a vacuum - it doesn’t pick up well along the baseboard, but that’s ok, that isn’t the primary function. The power assisted sweeping will be great for in between regular vacuuming and getting underneath a king size bed to pick up dust.

only works and charges on 110v not 240v
this charges on 110v and there is no conversion transformer with it. Therefore not suitable for the UK marketwhich is not stated in the advert
