Bought this washable and reusable coffee filter to fit our Melitta model 46894A 10-Cup Coffeemaker (which we love btw and also got on amazon). The difference between this reusable filter and paper filters when it comes to taste is night and day. Highly recommend getting one. Product listing gives a list of other coffeemaker brands it's compatible with, which is helpful. We got the #4 (same size as paper cones) to go with our Melitta model and I can tell you, as far as our coffeemaker model goes, it is a perfect fit. Cheers to a great cup of coffee!

It's smaller than the original Braun filter, but still works ok. It is about an inch shorter form the top of the filter holder area.

Good quality filter that fits my Hamilton Beach 46897Z 10 cup Thermal Coffeemaker perfectly. The basic idea of any coffee filter is to catch the grinds during the brewing process and this will probably do the job with commercially ground coffee, such as Folgers or any major brand. I grind my own coffee from whole beans and, as with any other filter of this type, the finest sediments with get through the holes. However, this product is good in that it is easy to clean and does as good a job of any reusable coffee filter. In order to catch the finest sediment, I use put a Melita paper filter into the coffeemaker, then add this inside of that to hold the paper filter in place and fill the reusable filter with the grounds. Extra work? Not really. This filters the coffee once, holding the paper filter in place and allowing the paper filter to catch the sediments in the very bottom. In other words, the paper filter NEVER folds over and there are never grounds in my coffee.

If, like myself, you've purchased the Hamilton Beach 49316 12-cup Coffeemaker, I am extremely pleased to tell you that, not only is the filter a perfect fit, it is also surprisingly well made. I've been using this filter for almost three weeks now and the coffee it makes tastes wonderful. The filter itself is easily washable and the coffee grains come off easily when dry with a gentle pat. Once you try it you won't go back to paper filters!

Not exactly the right size and is a little on the cheap side, but functional for $5.99. Would not order again.

This is second time I tried to buy this type of filter. The first one did not fit my coffeemaker. So the second time I looked for one that stated it would fit my type of coffee maker. It was from a totally different company. What did I receive, the exact same filter as the first order. The difference was that the first compay promptly refunded my money and all is well. The second company is requiring that I return the filter "at my expense" to them to receive a refund. It will probably cost me as much to ship it back as the refund. Needless to say I will not deal with them again. The main reason that I keep using Amazon for on line purchases is the ease of returning items when they do not meet my needs. This is my first hassle.

The mesh is too restrictive/fine, plus the plastic frame that goes all the way down the sides, to the bottom, is significantly wider than expected. I suppose this is good for its structural integrity, but reducing the mesh surface area also reduces the flow rate. This filter caused our Black & Decker coffeemaker to overflow/backup over the top of the filter, even after the filter had been thoroughly cleaned. We had to go back to paper filters until we find a better solution.

Was a little skeptical about ordering this for my Melitta 12 cup coffee maker, but it works very well. Very little sediment in the bottom of the pot and makes a good cup of coffee. Just dump the grounds, rinse the filter and ready to go again. No paper filter needed. Will buy again when ever this one gives out.

Se rince facilement. Fonctionne bien. Faut le forcer à rentrer la première fois, mais avec la chaleur il a pris la bonne forme.

Muy buen desempeño. No permite que se escape el café molido del filtro, por lo que la bebida puede disfrutarse al no presentar esos molestos granitos de café.

I chose this filter because it claimed to fit Krups machines. It does and I have used it more than once to date and it has been faultless. I will continue to use it daily.
