I got these, the small Rhodia notebooks, and the Moleskine Cahier Journals to evaluate for daily use. So this review is kind of a comparison also. I'm a senior controls engineer and keeping things in my large notebook has become difficult with all of the moving about that I do. Carrying a small notebook in my backpocket has been the best option I've found so far. I was a long time lover of Moleskine (for personal use), but mixed it up with this assortment of purchases. 1) Field Notes - when I got all three notebooks, this was my favorite at first. The paper is possibly the highest grade (shocking, right?) but the giant "FIELD NOTES" printed on the front wore on me over time. Now I use these for carrying during a hike. I record a few key things just for fun and tracking. I can't recommend these highly enough for outdoor use. They're super rugged, the paper is ultra-high-quality, and they size is perfect. Workers perfectly with my Sharpie Pen with no bleeding or show-through. 2) Moleskine Journals - This is what I ultiamtely ended up carrying for work. Paper is second only to the Field Notes notebook and even there it's close. The pages are perforated and the notebook has a tiny folder in the back for holding loose pages. This makes carrying it all the nicer. I don't have to keep a grand organizational scheme; I write and then sort it out later. Sharpie Pen doesn't bleed or show-through. Cover is unmarked (apart from a small bit of embassed text on the back). The cover is pretty durable, but not nearly as rugged as the Field Notes' cover. 3) Rhodia Pocket Notebook - I wanted to like these but the size is slightly too small. The cover is plain paper. And, althoguh some disagree, the paper quality was the worst. I had slight show-through from my Sharpie Pen but not bleeding. I don't have much else to say about this one since I've used it so little.

I have written in my Field Notes every day since I got this pack. They are a God-send at work. I'm doing a co-op for mechanical engineering, and having a notebook to jot down thoughts/conversations/instructions/sketches has been immensely helpful. It allows me to keep focused on what my current tasks are and to write questions to ask my boss later. I am definitely a customer for life. I wish I had known about the utility of a pocket notebook sooner. I was skeptical at first; just how different could this be from the Notes app on my phone? I now see the appeal. I can't explain it, but the notes I put in my pocket notebook are so much easier to recall than anything I type into a phone app. Instead of dozens of mile-long bullet lists on an app, I'm writing shorthand notes that avoid unnecessary detail and fluff. I'm not forced to start a whole new page for every minor change of subject; I can just jot down any off-topic thoughts to the side and throw a box around it to keep thoughts separate and organized. My note-taking is more focused, and as a result I'm asking better questions at work and staying on track without drowning in information. Not to mention how much more professional it looks (in a meeting, for example) when you're writing physical notes on an actual piece of paper rather than typing into your phone. I cannot recommend these notebooks enough. It has changed how I view work, and I can't wait to see how I'm able to utilize these during my school semesters. Amazing product, all-in-all.

I bought the Field Notes Notebook on 07 November 2015 for $9.95. Since then I have just finished my first notebook. I use it any chance I can to jot down whatever is on my mind. Whether it is notes or sketches for a woodworking plan. The paper is a light weight, but the bleed through is not as bad as one would imagine. The graph is a nice touch, allowing for straight lines and countless ways to organize and note take. The grid is set so every five and a half squares equals one inch. So it allows for scaling in art if needed. The cover is a paper and is flimsy after a month of heavy usage. I store it in my back pocket, so this is understandable, but it is starting to peel away from the rest of the notebook. I am not the biggest fan of the staples, and wish it were bound in a different style, but it is not a deal breaker. The inside front cover allows for the owner to put any pertinent information for having it returned if lost. The inside back cover, has a short story about the company, ideas to use the notebook, specifications on the notebook, and a small five inch ruler printed on in 1/16 inch increments. After two months of use, it picks up the curve of my butt from being in my back pocket, but is easy enough to squish flat. I have used other notebooks from Molskine to mini composition notebooks, but for this price point, I think I have found a keeper. I plan on buying a different cover material next time to see if I prefer those more, but if not, I would have no problem buying this three pack again.

I love, love, love these little notebooks. I have one little journal/notebook that I would keep in my pocket, daily. It did well. When my daughter was born, I bought a set of these to help keep track of her diaper changes and feedings, and it made it simple and easy with the gridlines and dotted line journals (feels nicer and more flexible than a lined journal). It was nice and small so that we could take it to doctor's appointments. I have used them to help me with work. Sometimes I cannot get a thought out of my head and I'll have a hard time focusing. I just whip it out and write down what is on my mind (e.g., buy sparkplugs, look up random a fact, create a list, etc.) and it's helped boost my productivity. You can also use it to keep it in your car for maintainance. For example, if you got a new car, stash one in the glove box. Every item of maintainence you do, you can log it by date, service, and mileage. It's helpful when you do your own work and if you ever plan to resell, you have a log. Or you can be me prior to a journal, and also keep years worth of receipts.

Perfect size, and I love the grid style lines. It helps with illustrations while drawing plans

Keep writing alive! I love these. Put them in my Lochby and they fit perfect. I dig how they change up the covers, and it's perfect for quick sketches and notes. I'm leaving my filled ones for my son. Will be a neat gift when I'm gone.

Versand von knapp 15€ für drei winzigkleine Heftchen liegt aber jenseits von Gut und Böse. Bekommt man in genauso guter Qualität auch bei Hema für nen Appel und nen Ei.

Nice to have this when out and about (in my "bug back bag") in case a handwritten idea needs to be jotted down. This product is perfect in size and thickness. Indeed, it never showed up when first ordered, so they sent it to me again. And 2 week later - the original showed up. I offered to pay for it (direct to the manufacturer) but they refused (kindly). Don't hesitate - if you need it get it, if you want it ... you need it!
