Power Maths 2nd Edition Textbook 6A (Power Maths Print)

This text book is absolutely useless. I like the practice books made by the same company and wanted the textbook so I could use it to explain the concept to my child and then have her answer questions on it. The explanations given in this textbook are absolutely useless and very confusing. They are rushed and limited to a single page. Please see the picture of the page for long division - wouldn't it make more sense to calculate 37 divide by 13, carry over the remainder and then work out 117 divide by 13 = 9 using the number line? The method described in the online platform, MyMaths, provided by our school is much better. I was looking for a physical resource and had hoped the textbook would be as good as the practice book. There are also only roughly 6 practice questions after each lesson, so not even worth it to practice with. I am seriously thinking about sticking it in the recycling bin, as it's a large but useless book.
