The Ultimate Steam Cleaning Sidekick for Parents — BISSELL PowerSteamer 3-in-1 Review
As a parent with a little one crawling and exploring everything, I wanted a cleaning tool that would really sanitize multiple surfaces without relying on harsh chemicals. The BISSELL PowerSteamer caught my eye because it advertises chemical-free steam cleaning, versatile attachments, and indoor/outdoor use. According to the manufacturer, it “sanitizes surfaces, eliminating 99.9% of germs and bacteria” using just water.Having used it for several weeks on everything from the baby stroller and front door mat to the stove top and bathroom tiles, here’s how it performs.Pros:1. Ultimate sanitize solution – For me, this is the go-to whenever I want to ensure something is really clean: the baby stroller frame, the front door mat (where outside kicks in), the stove top after cooking, and the bathroom floor and wall tiles. The steam mode gives me peace of mind that I’m not just wiping dirt around but actually treating surfaces.2. Very versatile across surfaces – It transitions from upright “mop” mode to extended wand to handheld mode, which is great when I want to clean windows, outdoor furniture, or even inside the car. Reviewers noted the wide range of attachments that let you tackle floors, grout, fabrics, and outdoor spots.3. Chemical-free cleaning – Since I’m dealing with a toddler’s world (hands touching everything, mouth exploring), I appreciate that this tool doesn’t require special cleaning fluids or lots of chemicals. Steam alone is a big positive in that scenario. Multiple reviewers point out the sanitizing benefits of steam on sealed surfaces.Cons:Weight/ergonomics when used handheld for tiles – When I use the handheld or wand mode for cleaning bathroom wall tiles (holding it up for ~30 minutes), my arms start to feel it. It’s heavier than a simple handheld steamer or mop, so after a while it becomes a bit of a workout. I found this especially when doing vertical surfaces or small tiles where precision and time matter. (This aligns with what other reviewers mention—the “handheld pod weights quite a bit” when used above floor level. As a parent trying to stay ahead of the germs and mess that come with a curious 15-month-old, the BISSELL PowerSteamer Heavy Duty 3-in-1 has been a strong ally. It gives me that feeling of a deeper clean — not just wiping visible dirt, but steaming it away. I’ve especially liked using it on the stroller after outdoor play, the front door mat (which sees shoes), and the bathroom floor tiles where I want a safe, clean for baby playtime. If I were to buy again knowing what I know now, I’d still pick it—but I’d plan its use more for sessions where I can take my time (since I notice fatigue when cleaning vertical surfaces for long periods), and I might supplement with a lighter handheld steamer for those quick tile/grout touch-ups just to save my arms.In short: highly recommended for multi-surface sanitizing in a family home, with the caveat that it’s not the lightest option for extended above-floor use.

Satisfying to see it clean!
I have been absolutely thrilled with the BISSELL Power Steamer Heavy Duty 3-in-1 Steam Mop and Handheld SteamShot. It has exceeded my expectations in every way, especially when it comes to cleaning grout.Using the steam mop on my tile floors has been incredibly satisfying. The powerful steam effortlessly lifts dirt and grime from the grout lines, leaving them looking fresh and renewed. It's amazing to see how effective it is at deep cleaning without the need for harsh chemicals. What I love most is the versatility of this product. It functions as both a steam mop for large areas and a handheld steamer with the SteamShot attachment for targeted cleaning in tight spaces or on stubborn stains. Switching between modes is quick and easy, making it convenient for various cleaning tasks around the house. The only cons about this product is the cleaning heads. I went through so many just to do one job. It looks like they melt or get ruined with debris. Also, it has a long cord but sometimes it gets in the way and can get a bit heavy if using for long periods of time.

Only buy a new one
This steam cleaner is very nice. But, be very wary of buying a used one. I ordered one in “Like New” condition and received one that had been misused and was missing most of the accessories.I’ve used Bissell hand held steam cleaners and steam mops for many years. They are durable and if you use mineralized or distilled water, they practically last forever. The steam mop combo I wanted to replace still works great, but it needs a nozzle adapter to use attachments, and I broke mine, so I could only use it as a mop or with its flexible hose. I made that my excuse to upgrade, even though it’s a workhorse that just won’t quit. This newer design is a big improvement over the old one. It’s lighter, compact, and the water fill is conveniently placed. One thing I dislike about my old model is tipping it on its side to fill it. I also really like that the mop stick is a long steam wand. I recently bought a pack of the small accessory brushes with a scraper (my favorite accessory - it’s also a decent straight concentrator), so the abundance of brushes this comes with will last me a long, long time. The heavy duty brushes didn’t come in different colors, (color coding makes it easy to keep separate the ones used in the bathroom, kitchen or outside). So, if this is a whole home tool for you, you’ll want to address that.I’ve read some reviewers statements about saving money by using filtered tap water instead of the recommended distilled or demineralized water. Sure, that’s cheaper in the moment, but it will decimate the product’s lifespan and, too soon, you’ll be spending all of that savings and more on a new steam cleaner. If your coffee maker’s water tank gets scale, then your filtered water isn’t good enough for steam cleaning. This steam cleaner is easy to use, has two steam settings and simply does the job.

Great Steam Output, attachments are so-so. Will remove paint
I bought a house that had dogs, smokers, and went a long time without proper cleaning. This ended up a being an invaluable purchase for restoring this property. I've used this for:- Removing Paint from hard surfaces- Removing old tape residue from windows, etc.- Removing old stick-on-shelf liner- Cleaning cooking grease off walls- Cleaning tobacco staining off everything- Cleaning grout of years of grime- Cleaning off soot from fireplace- Cleaning Wood FloorsIt outputs quite a bit of steam, and really does a good job loosening up pretty much anything. It's pretty heavy, so if you're doing a large area, you could get a bit fatigued. I used it to loosen up the tobacco staining on the ceiling, and I got pretty sore. When combined with conventional cleaning methods, I think I could manage to clean just about anything.A word of warning. If you're cleaning painted or veneered surfaces, do not stay in place for too long. It will cause the veneer or paint to lose adhesion or bubble up. There's one spot on my cabinet were I made that mistake, and it will haunt me forever. Not the product's fault though. On the other hand, that means it's really good for removing the same. I used it to easily remove paint from windows, faucets, toilets, tile, etc, as well remove years old masking tape that was never removed (previous owners were not master painters, that's for sure...). I also used it to peel up old stick-on shelf liner, which is normally a huge pain, but was a breeze with the steam/scraper tool.Other than the main mop head, the accessories aren't particularly great. I'd like their engineers/designers to spend a little more time think about how the tool is used and improving the accessories, and making them more durable. Replacements are all available on their website though. The fabric steamer tool, which turns into the flat surface tool with a little attachment, broke pretty easily, and the flat surface tool isn't well designed to hold the pads that come with it. It also doesn't swivel like the main mop head, so it's a lot harder to use. The scrubber tools are flimsy and wear out quickly. I found it was more effective to just blast it with the concentrator nozzle and scrub it separately with my preferred brush (careful not to burn yourself, you can). The concentrator nozzle is nice, but they only have one with a 45 degree elbow. It'd be nice if they included a straight one as well. The little scraper tool is pretty good for peeling up tape. The unit did stop steaming after about 4 months of heavy use. It took about 20 minutes with Bissel's chat support through their website to get a warranty replacement sent, so I'd say that's a pretty good result.

Powerful, Reliable, and Surprisingly Versatile
I’ve used a lot of steamers over the years, but this one stands out. The BISSELL Power Steamer is a true workhorse — it blasts through grime with serious power and doesn’t flinch on tough jobs. Whether I’m cleaning floors, walls, or outdoor surfaces, it delivers consistent heat and pressure without needing chemicals. The water tank lasts longer than expected, and the unit heats up fast. I also appreciate the 3-in-1 design — switching between attachments is smooth, and it adapts well to different surfaces. If you’re looking for something that actually performs like the name suggests, this is it.

Powerful Steam Mop/Cleaner
This team mop is very powerful and versatile. I used the hand held option and one of the small round brush to clean my kitchen stone tile floor and grout. It is very effective and super easy to clean. I used the short flat “grout” cleaning brush first but liked the round brush better because it covers a little more area and cleans much better than the flat brush. The grout was almost black due to the grease in the kitchen and my other mops cannot reach the dirt inside the grout. This handheld option of the steam mop does the job and is brilliant! I saw some reviews said that the steam was not hot, so I was a little hesitant to buy it at first. But I am so glad I gave it a try. The steam of my mop is steaming hot!!The mop is also very easy and effective in cleaning the floor. I am glad that it comes with 2 washable pads that I can use on a large area without having to stop and wash the dirty pad. The water tank surprisingly lasts a long time and I can clean a pretty big area without refill. However, the refill is extremely easy too. It comes with a measure funnel and the steam is ready immediately after refill. You do not need to wait for it to get ready to use again.I also saw some reviews complain about the weight. It is not heavy when you use the mop but is a little heavy when you use the handheld option especially if you use it for a longer time. Given the effectiveness and versatility of the handheld option, I think it is totally worth it. I will just take a short break between refills if I need to use the handheld option for a long time.Overall, this mop performs above my expectations and I highly recommend it!

Waste of money, don't buy warranty, Asurion and Amazon won't stand behind what they sell.
Waste of money, heavy, hard to use, power is extremely weak, steam settings does not work as expected, the size is difficult to move around, the heat is weak. Purchased warranty and Asurion refused to process the claim. Amazon return was a joke, Amazon stated they would only refund 39.00 for something that cost me just under 200.00 not to mention taxes. Horrible purchase experience. Amazon has really lost its honesty with it customers. Asurion no longer cares about their customers either, very disappointed. There is no durability to a unit that didn't work within the first 10 minutes of use. Asurion when I attempted to contact them stated "speak to Amazon". At this point I should have purchased at Wal mart if I want to be treated like this. I used to trust Amazon and Asurion this experience has made me reconsider where I should make purchases from.

A decent bundle for the price, but some downsides.
This product is decent for its price, but I don't exorcism it to last long term. There are definitely some improvements that can be made to make it a bit more user-friendly too. First of all, I'll start with the pros. I love that it came with so many attachments. It was easy to assemble, and it's easy to use. There are two different steam settings for lighter or heavier duty jobs. This one product can be used in so many different applications around the home. It also heats up within less than a minute, so even if you have to refill, you don't have to wait long to get back to work. Steam cleaning has made a lot of tasks around the home a lot easier than other methods. The wall mount, accessory attachment, and mesh bag all help keep everything together when not it use. After using the covers, they are easy to just hand wash in the sink with a bit of dawn soap. Now the downsides. The very first time I used the grout tool, the bristles melted away to nothing. 😕 Bissell customer service was very helpful and immediately sent me a replacement at no cost to me, but I've been hesitant to use it again, afraid to have the same result. I have only had the device for a few months and I use it once or twice weekly, yet it is already starting to feel like the pole is wiggling/no longer stable. I'm worried the pole will not last the year. Another issue I have with it is that it seems to put out a lot more liquid than other steamers I've used, regardless of which setting I'm using. When using the steamer on windows or wood, I feel like I always have to go back with either paper towels or a dry cloth and wipe up the excess moisture to pevent streaks or swelling. That's a bit inconvenient.Another minor issue is that you must constantly hold down the button in order to have the device produce steam. It might not seem like that big of a deal, but when you are cleaning an entire room, your hands start to get pretty fatigued after a while. I realize it is likely a saftey setting, but I do wish there was a way to set it for constant steam during some applications. The smaller attachments are nice, but as mentioned above, the grout tool melted with the first use. Now I'm a little apprehensive about using the other brush heads for very long. Another thing with them is that there are times when you are using a scrubbing motion and they can twist themselves loose. I've accidentally burned myself a couple of times not thinking and just grabbing at the attachment to adjust it back into place whike it's still hot. I realize that's user error. I just wish they stayed on more securely during use, so that they don't come off with normal cleaning motions. One feature I've seen others complain about is that the cord doesn't retract. This doesn't actually bother me. I love the long, sturdy cord. I have been able to get around an entire room without moving outlets. I wind the cord around my arm and use the velcro strap that came with it to secure it in a loop when I'm finished. I don't really see it as that big of a deal. All in all, I don't HATE the item, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. It is good for the price and still has plenty of good features. I just personally would rather have a steamer that I felt would last a few years without my worrying about different parts malfunctioning. The main part of the steamer functions well, and I can find work arounds to make due.

Cleaner floors!
Easy to use. My floors are cleaner! I use it even for the walls at my house!

A bii heavy but for a good reason
This steamer is heavy duty and versatile. I love the attachments even I have not tried every one of them yet. The only downside is that some users may find it a bit heavy. However, I think it is built to last. I used other steam mops before and they are built cheaply and do not last.

Waste of time.
I will never recommend anyone to buy this product as I’ve waited for this product for a month and then had to wait for the converter. After all this, it didn’t work and had to return the product eventually. Such a waste of time.

A bit heavy
I've used this machine (model 2075a) 3x in the last week. Works well on kitchen lino floor and bathroom floor tiles. Kitchen lino is old and stained despite prior regular cleaning. After 2 steam cleans 3 days apart it seems like lino staining is diminishing a bit (less grey looking). Bathroom floor tiles cleaned with steam nozzle only (around toilet) don't really appear less stained (grout) but I am going to steam again with the grout attachment and see if the steam + scrubbing makes a difference.Used steam in window tracks and worked well. Will try on patio sliding door tracks next.Used handheld part to steam new mattress and new pillows with small flat attachment and the cloth supplied and I think that worked well.Have used in the high steam setting for all cleaning. Curious how the heavy duty model may be different. Handheld part is a bit heavy and a bit awkward with prolonged use and when attached to the full mop will fall over so be very careful as it is too top heavy. Falling over, especially on a hard surface could damage it.I think this cleaner is good, but not great. No regrets about purchase.Company website sells replacement accessories at too high of a cost (absolute gouge) and replacement steam part is no longer available in case you are thinking far ahead. Would purchase knock-off cleaning pads here instead or figure out how to attach a microfibre cloth myself.
