Works great if you have an undamaged flat bottom skillet/griddle
Great on a flat skillet/griddle. Only works on a flat, not damaged surface. Will leak against curved sides, a scratched/damaged surface, and the "ridged" style skillets. Might leak out a tiny bit even on a flat surface if not oil sealed well, but not a big deal. Seals quickly and it's easy to trim off the little leak or just flip it against the contents when the ring is removed. I bought the 4 inch which is great for burger sized breads. Hangs over an english muffin a bit - but I like that. :) The 3 inch would be perfect for muffins or grands biscuits.

Non stick really means no sticking
First I have to say these truly DO NOT stick. To prevent sticking I make sure my pan and rings are hot. I put a small pat of cold butter in the ring and paint the inside really well with a pastry brush. (Melted butter browns too quickly in the hot pan and a hot pan is what makes the big holes imho) When the sides start to set turn to medium low and carefully slip off the rings if sides are set. Then repeat the process in the 2nd pan. No need to wash the rings, they slide off clean. I’ve made many batches of sourdough crumpets using these 4 inch rings and never had one stick yet, even when I forgot to butter a ring on my 2nd batch. There are cheaper rings but after reading all the reviews many times over, I chose these. I wanted 4inch rings, high quality, heavy duty, nonstick, stainless steel, dishwasher safe with stay cool handles, and reasonably priced. I don’t remember how many reviews these had but I don’t count anything less than 500. These had the highest reviews and were everything I wanted. I love them.

Egg ring
I prefer 3.5" ring. But This performs nicely, and I like that two large eggs fit.

A muffin breakfast must-have.
These rings are just the right size for the muffins I like. I spray a light coat of vegetable oil on the pan and on the inside of the ring to make it nonstick to the egg. Diced onion, peppers, or bean shoots can be added and held neatly in place as the egg fries to hardness. It's a handy must-have for preparing a tidy muffin breakfast.

Use often for making hamburger patties and cook eggs.
Great for pressing hamburgers. Eggs stick to ring more than expected even with coating with oil. Took handle off and flip the ring and egg to finish cooking. Once cooked easier to separate fully cooked egg from ring.

Great value
When you read reviews on an item sometimes you have to wonder what in the world folks are doing to get the unsatisfactory results they report. This item is well made of high quality materials and very simple in its design. If it leaks when you drop an egg or pancake batter in it I've come to the only possible conclusions possible. They are: Your using grandmas pan from just before the end of "the big war", you know, the one that hasn't had a level flat bottom since Nixon was president. Or.............. You burn your food to a crisp on a regular basis and the bottom of your pan has the same texture as your neighbors driveway. The ring is level straight and sturdy on its bottom, so your pan should be too. Suggestion? Rub a little oil or butter around the inside of the ring. Put a little pat of butter inside the ring while you let the ring heat up in the skillet. Once the ring and skillet are hot and the butter is sizzling, then crack your egg inside the ring or add your pancake batter.

Depth of these rings is a definite advantage.
I just started using these 4 inch egg rings and am very satisfied. They have enough depth to accommodate a surprising amount of food (eggs, chopped meats, etc.) . So far, I've found that it's important to use oil (your choice) on both the pan itself prior to putting in either the ring or ingredients....and also oil the inside of the ring. If that step is missed, you can't fault the ring for "leakage"...it's on YOU. Very easy to clean, handle is sufficient to avoid getting burned while exiting the ring once contents are cooked. Very happy with these rings.
