Alcohol Test Strips for Breast Milk

These are a life saver!! Even if I only have 2 glasses of wine I still like to test my breastmilk as an anxious first time mom. These give me the peace of mind I need to be able to enjoy a few and feed my baby safely!!

here’s a photo of two strips, one i dipped in my milk and one i dipped in wine. the blue result is the wine strip. i wanted to do a test strip to be sure these actually detected alcohol and were not a dud pack. so far, i have no had any issue with detection of alcohol in my milk!

These work so fast and are very user friendly with the scale on the back. They have helped me make sure I am keeping my baby safe in all situations.

I’m not a heavy drinker by any means, and had not had a drink in months, but for my birthday I went to dinner with the hubby and had 3 cocktails (made them doubles), and 2 shots. I had never prior drank while breastfeeding so was scared about my breastmilk having alcohol in it, and boy it did! These strips are BEYOND amazing! I loved these test strips so much, I bought these as a gift for my pregnant friend. As someone who tried to breast feed my babies for their whole first year having to completely avoid alcohol was not something I could do, especially on holidays and big celebrations. Also as someone who wants to join in the celebrations these test strips gave me peace of mind to make sure my babies were never exposed to any alcohol through my breast milk. The ONLY CON is these expire so soon they won’t last the year for her but I truly think they are worth the price. Pumping and dumping always hurt my heart so being able to make sure I wasn’t tossing good/useful milk made me feel better. PLEASE READ: Always do a control test! Use actual alcohol and dip a test strip to make sure it changes color and is accurate. I came across a company (not this one, prior to finding Frida) and bought test strips. I did the test and noticed no change then I went back to see the company page on Amazon later and the comments were full of how the company was a scam, it was nothing but cotton at the end of the strips. I was mortified and disgusted with how dangerous that could have been. I trust Frida but I still recommend doing 1 test first.

Perfect for at home or on the go. Nice to know my milk is safe to feed or pump typically after two hours of having a larger glass of wine. I even keep a few in the diaper bag. The blue indicator is great also to show if your alcohol is lightly present or heavily present in your milk pending on the shade of blue.

These tiny little test strips are so worth the peace of mind. I've tried a couple different brands and these seem to be my go to. I like that they change blue when there is still alcohol is your system. However, it can be super faint and sometimes it's hard to tell if it's just the lighting in your house or actually slightly blue. It would be nice if there was a controlled pad with it.

I’m not sure how accurate/reliable these are. I used the strip on the breastmilk I pumped less than one hour after my one and only drink and the strip came back white (negative). I thought that the alcohol entered the bloodstream/breastmilk immediately.

Product arrived damaged with Cracks and dents. Wanted to send it back - it was not possible without a shipping fee wich was more expensive than the product itself. Superfail.

They do work but they are bloody expensive!

I absolutely love this product. Before I would wait SO LONG (hours and hours) after having a glass of wine before feeding my baby because I was so paranoid - it’s nice to know now for sure when it is safe to feed him, and not having to worry.

Only just received them & they expire next month. I drank a strong cocktail & it didn't detect any alcohol.

I bought these for the holiday season, very easy to use, I can know for certain if it's safe to feed my baby. This has saved me from pumping & dumping after a drink.
