I got these because I have been hearing mixed opinions about EMF radiation and though it’s generally considered to not be harmful in something like a bluetooth headset, the long hours at a time that I was playing prompted me to be cautious and try wired and I figured I’ll go with these being they’re compatible with the earmuff attachments I already bought for the 5P The only actual downsides I have found with these is that I did get use to the transparency the 5P has. It does kinda annoy me not really being able to hear my own voice that much and it sometimes can feel like I’m yelling on the mic or I can’t tell how loud/low I’m being. That being said it’s not a deal breaker and the way to easily combat this is just to not have your audio blasting to begin with but if I was to play super competitive, say like a tournament, I would probably throw the 5Ps back on for this reason. I hear footsteps just as well with these as the 5P. Both are phenomenal at Spatial Audio and my friends are often asking me “how did you hear that” in reference to footsteps or small sounds in shooters. I have honestly gotten so use to the way these things pick up sound that I can’t imagine going back to a typical cheap headset after steel series. The way these headsets pick up sound is truly a form of pay to win I love both the 5P and these and I soley bought these for the sake of the 5P not being able to run wired so I have no bias here. They seriously sound very very similar. In my opinion they’re practically identical. If you don’t mind a wire and don’t like charging your headset, I do think you will be happy with these at a much difference price of 50$-60 instead of the 5P at 120-130$. Build quality is also very similar. The 5P has more buttons and the scroll wheel is smoother, . Maybe the headband is little larger as well. As far as a wire goes, yes it’s annoying sometimes, but you’ll be used to it in a week. I honestly think when things are too simple, it can actually be a crutch. The fact that I have to unroll a wire and plug it in and I have to leave my controller and headset behind as I walk around the house when I’m taking a break are good things to me. Sometimes friction can be good especially when it’s something like gaming. If you’re turning your gaming session into a 5 star spa experience and everything boots up within seconds and is perfectly easy in every way it may set a bad precedent for the real world. In the end of the day, I think it’s cool to go back to the basics for me personally. I don’t mind rolling up my wire In a little coil after the game and all the annoyances that can come with a wire at times. One day we may not even have wires anymore and we will probably just open an app on our phone that telepathically sends the audio to our brain via some form of Bluetooth so enjoy the simple days while they last … Hope this helps!

I have owned these headsets for over 2 years and yes the screw comes loose about once a year, but you just tighten it back in and you're good to go. These are the MOST COMFY I have ever owned, and I wear these for many many hours at a time, and these are the least sweaty/irritating headphones I have ever owned in my life. My mic is one of the clearest sounding on all the games I've played. If someone ever complains about my mic, I just unplug it from my controller and plug it back in and it's magically fixed. People who complain about the screw can't appreciate the overall quality of these headphones in comparison to any other headphones on the market today. They were voted best budget headphones in the market because it's true. These Nova 1 headphones have lasted me years already, when others just haven't and we're just uncomfortable to wear. These are great for me, no major complaints.

Works well for the price. I recommend downloading their software to adjust the base because it’s loud. Aside from the base the product is able to be used for games like R6, Apex, or just for music. Works a lot better than you would expect honestly. The only issue I would say is the MIC isn’t too good and detecting your voice. Still works great and I still use it to chat with my family and friends during games. 5/5 recommend if you’re seriously in a budget and just need a headset for detecting footsteps and detailed sound in game. Other things you might wonder, is it comfortable? Yes, I wear glasses and can play for hours without ear fatigue. Does the quality feel good? Yes, quality isn’t bad and it hold up well. The headband is especially nice and comfortable.

Seems pretty solid. I don't know about durability, but the headset seems pretty sturdy. The mic not so much though, it seems a little flimsy so I'm just hoping it will last at least a year or two. The sound quality is pretty good and the mic doesn't sound bad at all. These are pretty much plug and play. It's also really lightweight and comfortable, doesn't press my ears at all. I also love that the earmuffs are fabric. The only thing is that the cable is pretty short so that might bother you. I sit pretty close to my laptop and I still have to be careful not to yank it. Overall, it seems like a good budget headset, not too great, not too shabby.

(note: I wear glasses. I feel like this is important to mention with headsets >.>) Honestly, I never expected headphones to make such a big difference in experience. My first headset was a 25$-ish headset that broke, so I decided well, lets try something a bit better from a reputable brand, and ended up buying this one for 40$, and it is worth every. single. cent. spent. Audio is amazing, and it comes with an application you can download that allows you to tweak the sound depending on your use. It did seem a bit overwhelming at first, but its actually fairly simple to use once you get to understand it a bit. The headset does feel a little tight on the head, but so far its not uncomfortable to use for long periods of time, as long as you put it on right. Even while using glasses, this feels ok on the head. If you put it on wrong however, like I did when I first got it, it would be very uncomfortable and even painful. My only complaints would be that, because its all plastic and feels a bit hard, I get worried about breaking it and try to use it as gently as I can. However, I have seen a Youtuber do a review of this headset and he stretches it beyond what my heart can handle without breaking, so there's that little bit of relief found there xD. The 2nd complaint is the short wire length. Would have loved having it be a bit longer, but its not bad. Overall, my experience with it has been pretty well. So well that, despite the 2 complaints I listed above, I'd still be willing to give this a 5/5. (edit: 4.5 now, due to below issue) Edit: after using it for a couple months, this headset is amazing and is no longer as tight on the head. However, now I'm facing a new issue, and that is the mic wont fully retract into the headset and would get stuck like there is something blocking it from being pushed into its slot. This comes and goes and I have to use some level of force here and there to get it fully in, but out of fear of breaking it, I stopped doing that. Still, because I only use it for the pc, its not really much of an issue except when I'm eating. For that inconvenience, id drop the review to 4.5. Would still buy a steelseries though because its a fantastic audio experience.

Overall what I'd expect for the pricepoint. Got this as a 2nd cheaper headset for laptop gaming. The headset performs well, only issue I've had so far is the sticky mic reel. Often times doesnt want to tuck back into the headset. I dont want to try to force it back in so often have to pull and push back in 5 or 6 times to get it to go. Outaide of that, solid purchase.

I've purchased gaming headsets from inexpensive to fairly expensive but these hit the sweet spot just right. For the price they are very comfortable and of a surprisingly quality build. They sound very well with a decent base so they're good for listening to music as well as for gaming. My only concern (and its just a little one) is that I wish the connection cable was about a foot longer. It does come with an added extension though. Overall I'd highly recommend this headset to anyone who wants a truly quality product at a really reasonable price.

Theres some pros and cons to this. Comparing to my old headset these were much louder and the noise cancellation were much better. But the mic quality in discord specifically was a bit meh other people i was with said it sounded like i was underwater. I would still recommend this headset as its pretty good for budget, the audio quality was nice and for your ear it was really comfortable. Also the wire was a bit short to my liking. UPDATE AFTER 2 YEARS OF USE : I daily this thing as my main headset and yes there's a few problem already. First of all the headset like leather material keep falling off and currently all of it is gone. Secondly the jack insert bent (this one is my fault but yeah still a problem). Third issue I'm running into is the mic barely working as it sometimes not detecting anything and i mean anything. Another issue is the headset ear puff almost falling out. I mean it has been treated a bit rough but since it lasted 2 years I can say its pretty good

Sometimes sound doesn't come from the right earcup, and the microphone is not working. And yes, I've tried literally everything on the Internet to try and solve it, but no.

Build quality feels durable without being heavy or bulky. It’s simple, clean, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do without extra gimmicks. Overall, it’s a very reliable, comfortable headset that delivers strong performance across multiple platforms.
