Proven on the Camino Santiago.
These split nto 3 parts held by a rubberised tube. They fold to about 12 inches and clip to the mud attachment and stay together. They feel light but are sturdy enough to help me around 100km hikes without feeling heavy or flimsy and I can put my weight on them at over 90kg with confidence. Great wrist strap(won't debate the over or under hand grip here though) and have rubber s news for hard surfaces/ roads etc. These are not height adjustable but clip in to secure the height but suits me at 5' 10" well. Brilliant kit.
