I love the functionality of this fireproof document box. It fits the file folders perfectly. The zipper pockets hold the little documents and memorabilia great. I love the Velcro flaps over the zipper. I definitely think it feels pretty heavy duty. I like the size and ease of how able to carry it if needed. The lock on it is easy to use, although I don’t lock mine often. Perfect for what I needed. Definitely think it was worth the money.

Well made box - needed to push in sides at top a bit to hold the files (from flat shipping- all my Nokbox letter size files fit in it then perfectly plus my 3-Ring trust binder! Real life saver to grab & go in case of emergency-fire, Ca. earthquakes, etc. Not yet tested for water or Fire. In the next few days, it will keep me very busy totally organizing so my daughter won’t have to scratch her head & wonder where everything is when I pass! Love the dark blue color and the fast overnight delivery! I also love the flip over panel that covers the lock to “hide the lock” so no one can see its my valuable docs! Extra bonus is the reflector tape on both ends to easily locate if my lights go out! Perfect size & a definite must for the elderly! Plus longer handles to easily lift and go -even for me! Haven’t tried the lock yet but happy there is one! It’s a true value for the money with all the well thought out add-ons (including extra too slots!). Well worth the money!! Get organized & get this and relax about heirs finding your important stuff! Also a great gift for your grown kids with their own families! Never can be too prepared!

Obviously I haven't put it to the test, but this surprised my family when I said it was fireproof and waterproof. It's also surprisingly durable despite being collapsible. The material is reinforced. Zipper and Velcro are nice for security. The zipper is a little hard to get into the locking mechanism, but it works well once you get it in. Spacious and doesn't rely on batteries or a key.

This thing is great! My metal file cabinet started to get rusty and had two drawers. I wanted to scale down my files into only one drawer, but couldn’t find single metal cabinets. And the plastic ones didn’t look quite big enough. I still have extra room with this and I’m excited it’s fireproof and portable. I do live in Florida or my house might flood. I don’t think I would leave this on the ground to try out the waterproofness. However, it’s light enough to evacuate with. I disagree with other reviewers that the pockets aren’t big enough to hold passports. I do have a mesh file pocket for those items so I don’t need the storage in the lid but it looks like it would hold several passports. My only complaint is that the files themselves don’t slide like they would in my metal file cabinet. The little metal arms on the file are placed on fabric covered rim. If I slid them, I think that would eventually get damaged. But for the portability and ease, I think this is going to work great for me. I knocked off one star since the files can’t slide.

This is a good purchase and good value. I’ve been looking for a document box to accommodate personal files that was well made, sturdy and easy to grab and go. This DocSafe fit the bill perfectly. It’s sturdy and hanging folders easily fit and stay put. There’s extra room in the box for a binder or two. The extra mesh pockets are a nice feature. The handles are reinforced and adjustable for easy carry. There is a double zipper that can be latched and inserted into the lock mechanism (I haven’t tried this feature) for extra security if needed. The lid folds over the sides and is secured with Velcro. I highly recommend this document box.
