Very good for your hydrangeas if you want them blue quick delivery very pleased

I live in a hard water area so my blue hydrangea quickly turn pink in hot weather when I have to water them. Not the easiest thing to measure when you have no scales so a scoop would have been a helpful addition. Just started using so keeping my fingers crossed that it works. Other people seem to have had good results.

When I purchased my hydrangea, it was a mauve colour, but as new flowers came through, they were increasingly pink and I wanted them to stay more blue, so I did some research and found Vitax Hydrangea Colourant. The product was easy to use by dissolving in warm water before adding to a watering can and then watering the plant. After a couple of uses I could clearly see the flowers changing colour. The more frequently you use it, the more blue the flowers go. The product could be improved if a measuring scoop were included, but I easily weighed the powder on my weighing scales to ensure correct dosage.

I bought this product to treat a 'Blue Boogie Woogie' Hydrangea that had been planted in a pot of ericaceous compost two summers ago but was starting to turn pink. I have mulched with more compost and treated with the Vitax and the colour is gradually reverting to blue but after a few weeks it still has not regained its startling 'blueness' so patience is probably required! This is not a cheap product considering how much you need for a fairly small pot and you may need to repeat the treatment periodically. If you have your hydrangea planted in the garden and don't have acid soil you are wasting your money by fighting with nature (you won't win) so maybe try the cheaper options of adding spent coffee grounds/crushed egg shells in an attempt to change the ph around your plant. This product keeps my hydrangeas looks gorgeous

My hydrangeas were already planted so I had to water the colourant into the pots. I consentrated on just two plants and managed to get the most beautiful shade of blue, I would say a mid blue and very vibrant but not on all the heads. I think it is nice to have a variety of colours on the one plant. I have marked it down one star because I found I needed to use a lot of the product which makes it a bit expensive but I will buy it again next year.

It works. I only used it about 4 times not weekly as per the instructions and it still worked. I will be purchasing again. Started using before the buds started to flower, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I had great expectations for this item as the previous reviews were pretty good. Boy was i wrong it's useless. Some previous customers claim they gave 1 dose and had lovely blue flowers, well...I've given mine 3 doses and still pink flowers. Maybe the ingredients/colourant missing from my bottle....?? Anyway I won't be purchasing this item again and I might as well have poured my money down the drain...or in this case on my flower beds.
