Star Trek: Communicator and Phaser, 2-Pack

These devices are sweet! Yes, they are not made of metal, but not insanely flimsy either. The phaser and communicator should please Star Trek fans! (The REAL Star Trek). The communicator is also extremely amusing and not badly made either. Both have a plethora of authentic sounds! I am going to buy the tricorder next! As a middle age somewhat chubby fan, these items will ensure my popularity with women for years to come!

I used these items as part of my costume and it absolutely made it the whole ensemble complete. The phaser can be used as a gun which has various settings or the hand held can be separated to use alone. The communicator has original sounds and works great. Overall, I am very please with the original appearance and sound.

As the title says, I bought this to go with my "red shirt" costume for a party last October, and I have to say, these are very well made. In fact they look and feel exactly as how I would have imagined they would from having watched so many episodes of this as a kid. Now as a "grown-up kid" they are still fun and in fact I have the communicator sitting here on my desk, which is fun to open up every now when people are around and then pretend I'm talking to the bridge---mostly just to be silly or annoy people but it's still fun. Original batteries in this thing still going strong, still very high quality and no defects in the 5 months or so I've owned these and banged them around. Would highly recommend to any trekker/trekkie/whatever-you-call-yourself.

The items do look close to the props on the original series. Which is the only reason I gave it a 4. Even though they both came with batteries, I had to replace them to make the products work. It would have been nice if the ad mentioned batteries. The phaser took a really oddball battery, a LR44/AG13/357 battery, which is hard to find. I ordered some from Amazon, but they took almost 2 weeks to arrive. I have to play with the phaser settings sometimes because they don't always work. The phaser sound is low, only good in a quiet setting, there is supposed to be a beam intensity setting which doesn't work at all. This could be a super product if it were much louder and had a red flashlight beam that pulsed with the different settings. The communicator works fine, has nice lights and a good sound. Some of the responses could be changed, "Kirk to Enterprise' isn't needed, and the antenna would work much better if it was a light metal, instead of plastic. Still, it is a decent product.

The items were as expected from reading online reviews. Yes, they are not collectors quality, but they are fun and work as costume accessories. Very pleased with them.

I've never owned a replica, but this are pretty close for most purposes. the Communicator's motor is louder that I would expect, but it can be disabled easily. nice sounds and lights.

I wanted them to be good but that's not the case, the sound is good but they are made really cheap. The communicator door does not even close all the way. it would of been better if made with some metal. come on for 30 bucks each it should be

These are AWESOME! The communicator makes lots of different sounds, including a "callback" feature, where you can hit one of the buttons, close it and a couple of mins later to starts beeping just like in the series! The Phaser I will seperate from the Phaser II, however the fit is not exact, so make sure you get it in there good.

My husband loves this set. Looks great. We will go back for the tricorder next. The sounds are authentic to the original series and make a great addition to our collection. The fact that these are not really for fending off hostile aliens has not thwarted my trekkie husband from trying to "stun" our pets. Fun!

This came fast, well packed & each item is A+. Every Star Trek fan should own this set ! Paint job is great, everything works perfectly :) Might be getting another set soon !

My 6 year old loves these and proudly used for all the photo opps at a recent Star Trek convention. Well worth the price with sounds, buttons, lights etc.
