Love it.
I genuinely love my Macook Mini Rice Cooker. It’s one of those kitchen appliances that you don’t realise you need until you start using it all the time. The size is perfect for smaller meals, and it fits so nicely in the kitchen without taking up loads of space. It’s ideal if you live alone, as a couple, or just don’t want a huge bulky rice cooker sitting on the counter. What I like most is how simple it is to use. You literally just add everything in, press the button, and let it do its thing. The rice comes out really good, fluffy, and evenly cooked without any effort. I’ve also used it for other things like noodles and simple meals, which makes it even more useful. The keep warm function is also really handy because it keeps the food ready without drying it out. Cleaning it is easy too thanks to the non-stick pot, which honestly saves so much hassle. Overall, I’m really impressed with it. Compact, convenient, easy to use, and perfect for everyday cooking. It’s become one of my favourite little kitchen gadgets.

There's a reason this type of rice cooker is so popular
This is a great, low cost, no frills rice cooker, no settings to worry about, no electronics to go wrong (it's all done with magnets!). I cook rice in it a couple of times a week, my wife cooks quinoa in it about as often, I'll occasionally make porridge with it and every two or three weeks I'll do a delicious chorizo and prawn jambalaya in it. It handles everything perfectly, the rice is well cooked and fluffy and the non-stick surface is good quality making washing up an absolute breeze. It's the perfect size for one or two, able to cook little enough or more than enough for two or more if you have guests or want extra rice (for example to make a stir fry next day. There's two things that would make this even better, in my opinion, one is a few sample recipes for people starting out with it, and the second is a steamer basket, I've bought one separately but it wasn't quite the right size so I've had to 3D print an adaptor ring. (If anyone's interested, I make my jambalaya by heating up a little chorizo sausage in a small frying pan until it gives off it's oil, then frying off onions peppers and garlic in the oil toasting some Cajun seasoning and then adding a tablespoon of tomato puree and mixing. This is then transferred to the rice cooker with washed long grain rice and some frozen peas or sweetcorn, I use cooled chicken stock instead of water (1 1/2 times the rice by volume) and a pinch of salt. Mix well then cook as normal - ie press the button and wait! - once it's finished cooking stir in the prawns and leave it on warm for 10 minutes. Make sure everything, especially the prawns, is cooked through before eating and follow this recipe at your own risk, it's how I cook it but I take no responsibility for anyone else's results following it!)

Great rice cooker
Great rice cooker! Makes lovely fluffy rice with so little effort. Just the right size for 1 or 2 people but can make enough for 4 (depends on your portion sizes) when we have guests. Bought our first one of these 2 years and 3 months ago, used it several times a week and it just got a little hole in the bowl. After considering upgrading to fancier rice cookers, we decided to stick with this one as it's so easy to use and clean and we'll never be faffing with cooking porridge or cakes or 4 course meals in our rice cooker. We'll be hand washing the bowl and not washing our rice in the bowl with this new one to see if we can get it to last a bit longer, but you can buy 4 of these for the same price as that fancier rice cooker you've seen on all the reviews.

Wow! So much better than I expected!
I decided to buy a ‘cheap & cheerful’ rice cooker to a) see if i’d actually use it and b) if they are any good, before splashing out on an expensive brand. I’ll probably stick with this one! It’s compact, attractive and far better quality than I expected. I cooked WAY too much rice the first time, filling the measuring pot for three people. I know better now. It’s very easy to use. Some like a 1:1 equal measure of rice to water - Macook recommends 1:1.2. I’d say try it and see, it depends on the rice. We are using Japanese short grain rice & Thai sticky rice and have done both ratios. I think the 1:1.2 was better in some ways as the rice wasn’t stuck together too much. It has a good capacity, a full pot (first use, too much) was more than 6 portions - for us anyhow. Wash out the pot. Rinse you rice til it runs clear. Put your measured amount into the pot followed by the water and switch on. It really is that easy. It will automatically switch from “cook” mode to “warm” mode and keep the rice at a good temperature. We steamed asparagus in the rack on top whilst cooking the rice and it was perfect. It’s a great rice cooker and looks very robust, durable. I expect to see a lit of use from this.

Breaks after a few uses
Like so many other reviewers have said - mine stopped working after 3 months. The thing will simply not switch on. I only used it about 10 times and it was good quality for the price. I wish I’d listened to the reviews. Please listen to mine - and avoid.

Very good small rice cooker but cooks so good
This is an excellent rice cooker . Very easy to use and the rice comes out perfect. I was not sure about using it as never tried before but so simple as it has a measuring cup so you can’t go wrong. Top marks

A fantastic simple rice maker
Fantastic little rice maker. I usually cooked the rice by the absorbsion method on top of the stove. My daughter used one while on a visit and I was converted. I looked for the best one at a good price and this came up trumps. Extremely easy to use. Big enough for 2 people.

Pretty good except...
I find the "keep warm" feature annoying because you can't walk away and leave it. You can't turn off this feature.

It serves the purpose well
It's a cooker to prepare rice and you can make other items also with some patience and effort. The best thing I like is the two cooking bowl including one non stick. I have tried rice, khichdi, biriyani, chole, vegetables fry, omelette, boiled egg, boiled vegetables, aloo tikki, soup, kheer. Pros: 1. It prepares rice perfectly. 2. Steamer is good to steam vegetables, egg without any hassle. 3. Non stick cooking bowl is really good. Cons. : 1. Unexpectedly warm/cook switch shifts and you've to use jugaad hack to press or put weight over lid to shift to cooking mode. 2. Very slow cooking and uneven heating (could have been improved) What you need: Patience and little extra time to cook your food with fun so as to avoid outside food while you are alone and eat self cooked healthy food. It's a slow cooking method and not to expect quick food preparation except rice.
