Lindam by Munchkin Sure Shut Deco Pressure Fit Safety Gate, Wood and Metal, 76 - 82 cm

Brilliant well made product. I bought this to stop my young labrador thinking that my bed was his bed, so I really didn't want something that looked like a child gate in brilliant white and covered in plastic, especially as it is likely to be up for some time. This Lindam Deco gate ticked all of those boxes. It's very solid and well made and blends in well with its surroundings (mostly oak and grey) and is something that I won't mind looking at for the next few years. It went up relatively easily but I did make the mistake of cutting the gate tie before fixing (it swings making fixing harder) and I removed the backing from the sticky pads too early - if they touch anything they stick. If I was doing it again the sticky pad backings would stay in place until I had marked where they were going. The other very BIG plus with this gate is the simple one handed opening and closing which makes life easier if you are carrying anything. All in all this is an excellent product.

The big selling point for us is that you can open these with one hand and just swing it shut (listening for the "click"!). Perfect for when you are carrying something up or down the stairs. It is a fantastic stair gate - we have 3 of them now. We have a new oak staircase and so didn't want one of those ugly white stairgates that would detract from it. These are of a very attractive design (as attractive as a stairgate can be anyway!). As mentioned above you can easily open one handed once you've got the knack of it, but my 3.5 year old still hasn't mastered it and some adult friends do struggle without instruction! A friends newly turned 5 year old did manage to work it out by himself, but by that age you can hopefully reason with them a little and get them to always close the gate behind them to protect younger siblings.

Good quality wooden gate, it can be used to protects stairs, gaps and rooms. Fantastic for babies and dogs. I would like to recommend this gate, it’s easy to install and you can adjust size and even add extender if needed! Worth every penny.

The gate itself is great - we bought it as a dog gate and it works well. It is sturdy and relatively easy to open. We were not sure how well it would stay in position (with it being pressure-fitting) but it has been in place for about 6 weeks now and seems to be doing well. However, we had to buy an extension (to make the gate fit into our doorway) and this was a nightmare! The instructions showed someone easily sliding a piece of plastic out of the original gate, so that the extension could slot into the hole - but we could not get the piece of plastic out! We ended up damaging the gate trying to get the plastic out, so we returned it. The replacement gate arrived - and we had exactly the same problem! We couldn't believe it! We phoned the Lindam customer services who said that if we could get the plastic out in anyway possible, then she would send us a replacement part for free (as we needed the plastic piece in tact to fit the extenstion correctly). In the end my dad managed to get the piece out using a drill, and once the replacement part arrived then the gate and extension were easy to fit. I am just hoping that we never need to take the extension off!! In summary - good gate and does the job well, but fitting an extension is not necessarily as easy as the instructions make it look!

looks good, fits our wide doors and does the job. We have it to control access from the living room to the rest of the house for our 2 year old and the puppy. Our 6 and 4 year olds can open it (though it took the 4 year old a while to get to grips with it) which works fine for us.

We really like them! They’re a little difficult to install but they’re all round really good. They look really awesome - we got the grey version and they look sleek! I like how you can set the things at the bottom to open a particular way that’s really cool. They were quite tricky to assemble because the instructions aren’t great - but once you’ve got the hang of it it’s fine - plus we had extensions on it so that made it trickier for sure. Overall, really good

Wir haben schon ein Gitter einer anderen Marke probiert und aber leider zurück geschickt - ich hatte deshalb recht niedrige Erwartungen für dieses Gitter, diese hat es bei weitem übertroffen! Es kam durch Prime gewohnt schnell und der Versandkarton war gleichzeitig die Verpackung (finde ich super weil ich Karton in Karton sehr unnötig finde). Das Gitter ist schnell aufgebaut und kann ohne Schrauben befestigt werden. Es ist mit den Klebeflächen extremst stabil (wir sind anfangs aus ein paar mal abgelaufen weil wir es vergessen hatten und es hat sich keinen Millimeter bewegt). Das Gitter schließt sofort wenn man ihm einen kleinen Schubbs gibt und geht sehr leicht mit einer Hand zu öffnen (selbst mit Baby am anderen Arm). Es sieht super aus, der Holzlook vom Gitter ist elegant denn sowas sieht man sonst nicht - alle anderen sind nur Metall, das Holz passt aber in unsere Einrichtung hinein. Ich finde das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis extrem gut. Wenn ich bedenke wie viel andere Gitter kosten die teilweise nicht mal annähernd so gut ist, gebe ich das Geld für dieses Gitter gerne aus. Kann es wirklich nur empfehlen.

Une très bonne barrière, exactement ce dont nous avions besoin. Je voulais une barrière facile à ouvrir d'une main, qui ne se referme pas automatiquement mais sans être obligée de l'accompagner. Là, une poussée ferme suffit, et elle se referme très bien. Simple à l'installation, elle a l'air solide.

Travaillant en crèche, j'ai connu des barrières pas facile à ouvrir. Du coup j'en cherchais une avec un système d'ouverture simple. Et cette barrière est vraiment SUPER. Déjà j'aime beaucoup l'esthétique, bois et gris anthracite : très joli. Et le système d'ouverture est simple, appuyer et pousser vers le bas, a une main sans problème ! Facile à l'installation aussi (à fixer dans le mur ou a poser pas pression). Je l'ai installé en même pas 10 minutes!
