Excellent big chunky book.
Lovely big book, chunky pages are great for little hands. It's well made and nice bright colours and shiney elements that catch my son's attention. This is the only book I've ever been able to sit and read properly with my son who is now 11 months old. With other story books he has snatched them away, bashes the pages, rips them or turns pages back again so we can't follow the story. We like that it is just one picture/word on each page. This has made it so he can hold the book and turn the pages to the page that he wants to look at. He touches the picture and I read the word of the picture he has chosen. This is so much better for us as he is happy holding the book and he is becoming familiar with the words. I feel one word per page is easier for him at this stage rather than having multiple pictures/words to confuse him or a bigger story that we can't follow as he wants to turn the pages back and forth. Much more relaxing being able to read but led by him. So I'm very happy that we've found this book and we've ordered another 'Baby Touch and Feel' book as he really enjoys it.

Great First Books
Bought with a couple of the other touch and feel books for my baby granddaughter. Now she's a little older she knows all the words but still likes touching the animal' 'fur' etc. Very reasonably priced too.

Well made robust board book
I've given this 5 stars as its very sturdy and will last. The cover is slightly padded, and each page has an element that has a different feel to it, such a shiny hologram paper, fluffy ears of a teddy, foam handle of a spoon. The cat and dog pages were firm favourites of my son. Only page that was a bit odd was the bib page, as the bib looks like a frog so might be confusing for babies to know what it is.

50/50 on this book
For some reason I expected more from this book. It's not great but it not too bad neither. It's still better than not reading to baby at all but personally I prefer the baby touch books by lady bird. There's abit more for your baby to engage in and also it's abit more babyfied, as in, in this book for example there's a picture of an empty bowl and spoon, underneath it says bowl and spoon, above it says all gone, and that's it. Nothing to touch, no exciting pictures, just an empty bowl. My daughter was quick to turn the page, whereas the DK my first words let's get talking is great. My baby thrives off learning and the book is full of exciting pictures and words making her all the more eager to learn. I would recommend this book if you are building a collection but if you want specific books to help educate your child there's better first word books on the market.

Disappointing
DK (Dorling Kindersley) is usually a guarantee of best quality. This one follows in that it a robust, well-produced book with wipe clean surfaces throughout the 12 pages. However, the 'Touch and Feel: First Words' part of this production is disappointing. "Butterfly" seems a very long word for a baby to learn. The 'Touch and Feel' areas are exceedingly small parts of images & I have doubts as to whether a baby could find the areas, even when shown. The cat's whiskers, one of the areas, are very thin, fine indents in the page. Material 'Touch and Feel' areas are so small that I only found some of them by moving a finger across the images & they all feel much the same when I do find them. I doubt if a baby would comprehend any difference between them & the rest of the page. Some of the areas are just a tiny piece of shiny paper inserted, which feels the same as the rest of the page. I had hoped for much larger areas of very different textures but this book is a poor production in content.

Foférrimo!
O livro é pequeno. Mas ele tem a capa fofinha e em cada páginas há alguma variação de textura para o bebê se distrair. Muito bonito!
