This is for anyone that is braving the task of replacing their iPad screen. Firstly, this product was awesome. What I liked about it is the fact that it contained everything. All the cables are included and the stickers for putting the screen back in place are already in place on the back of the glass. So no messing around trying to fit them yourself. The only things you’ll need is a hot air gun and some clamps to hold the screen in place overnight to help ensure the screen attaches and stays in place. In terms of the process. I was a bit nervous about replacing the glass myself having never attempted this before. A couple of YouTube videos showed how easy it was so I took the plunge. Some screen replacement products seemed to require some soldering to attach the home button cable but this as I mentioned, was all pre configure. Taking the iPad apart is pretty easy, but be gentle and don’t rush so you don’t damage anything accidentally. There were some tricky bits, for example, some of the screws are pretty tiny. I could barely see some of them. I even managed to lose a couple as they fell on the floor and it was pointless even looking for them. Biggest issues you’ll come across is tiny screws and not being 100% sure how to release the home button cable. Other than that its easy. You’ll get finger prints all over the digitizer so you’ll need to make sure that is cleaned before you put it all back in place. Once you stick it down, that’s it. So make sure it’s clean! Sadly, a tiny bit of something, either a tiny moth or a moth shaped bit of crud managed to get between the digitizer and the glass and I have no hope of removing it. But other than that, I saved a good £100 by doing it myself and feeling pretty damn chuffed with myself. ××××× UPDATE ××××× After a day the tape didn't hold and the screen lifted. I solved the issue with some silicon glue. Also removed the moth

Ok, I start by saying, this a Good Product. What are essentia non supplied Tools are a Hot Air Gun and a decent fitting small precision X head Screwdriver. Now I must say the Patient Ipad Mini, with broken Glass and Digitiser has been very uncooperative, to a Repair Guy with 45 years of experience. I also have experience of Apple Iphone repairs, and after a few unforseen traps, I managed to Build a fully functional I5S from the ground up....but trashed a few bits in the learning process! I realised that Apple design and build stuff, deliberately not intended to be repaired by the average experienced Electronic Repair Tech. Unlike other branded Tablets, you have to fight your way through breaking and clearing strong glue joints, working right beside very fragile components and the lcd screen. Everyone, however patient, makes mistakes and it only takes one slip of your tool to either fully trash the Ipad or at very least the black lcd screen! Unfortunately, there is no chance to practice. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS REPAIR UNLESS, YOU HAVE DONE IT BEFORE. Faiure to ignore this warning, will probably result in your loss of Money, much Time and maybe the IPad. I watched three Videos on this repair and found at least one fault/omission in all of them. The main problem is to replace this Glas/scratchs and Digitiser, the LCD Screen MUST be removed to access al the connectors. You will almost certainly Damage,smear/scratch the surface of the lcd, during the repair process, which I have done. I only attempted this repair after putting it off for three Months, because the Lady has purchased a newer Ipad, thus making this one a spare.

I was pleased with the quality of this kit for re-glassing my Ipad mini. Although it came with no instructions, videos are readily available on YouTube to help the inexperienced like me. The process was somewhat fiddly, and required a good deal of dexterity to dismantle and remove the broken glass and replace it with the new one. It was tricky to remove the protective coverings from the adhesive strips on the screen and those supplied for the body of the Ipad, but the tweezers supplied with the kit did the job eventually. All in all, a job well done with a quality replacement screen, saving me a good £60-70 on the costs quoted by local electronics shops.

Be weary of undertaking this repair, as it's quite difficult. Digging, scraping, and pulling the guts out of your iPad. I got it done, but it took a long time and was heart-in-mouth stuff at some points. Everything is glued or taped down... the screen, the LCD, connectors, etc. What would have helped would have been if the video from the manufacturer matched my iPad and their screen (it didn't), and if they included the TWO small magnets required to keep the case closed. If you forget to move these to the new screen, then your only option is to scrap it and try again with a new screen. Really, how much are a couple of small magnets?!? Just include them with the new screen!!! Also on the quality angle, the home button is much more prominent than on the original. It works OK, but just feels weird. I suppose for under £20 I can't really complain, but it seems like something that wouldn't cost them any more to do it properly.

I bought this after getting an iPad screen replaced in the town centre. The previous replacement job was rubbish. l followed the icracked guide on YouTube. The guide is very comprehensive and focuses on digitizer replacement only, which is what this replacement pack is for. The LL Trader package is very well packed. The digitizer and glass come in 1 piece with protective films on the inside and outside screen. Needless to say, take the inside film off at the last minute to avoid dust and debris getting on the digitizer. The package of tools is very comprehensive as well, they allowed me to take the old iPad screen off easily with no breakages. The new digitizer has adhesive strips pre-applied which makes life easier. I would recommend this repair package for anyone having digitizer issues on an iPad. The replacement is relatively easy. The most time consuming thing is removing the old adhesive, but that depends on how picky you are. One thing that would improve this package, is including some alcohol wipes to help in cleaning the old adhesive up. But it isn't enough to knock any stars off. We'll see how it fares in the long term, I'll follow up if there are issues. Much cheaper than a replacement iPad!

Replaced screen today on my son’s iPad which he accidentally smashed. Getting the screen off was a bit of a pain but easy enough when you apply heat to the edges and pick it off carefully. The replacement screen was good and to be honest I can’t really tell the difference. The tools they supplied were useful particularly the needle nose tweezers which helped when taking out some of the tiny screws. One thing to be careful of is not to damage the LCD screen. As the screen I replaced was smashed there was loads of broken glass in the iPad. I picked as much out as I could but when I cleaned off the LCD screen after putting it back together I accidentally scratched it when a piece of glass got trapped in the cloth I was using which is slightly annoying but one I will be more careful of next time. All in all it looks like a decent product although it is only day 1 so I will be writing an update if anything goes wrong in next few weeks.

Update 12 February 2022 No longer able to operate beyond opening screen. Sellers not responding to requests to replace or refund sent over last couple of months. Christmas 2021 Update now failing miserably. It is almost as if it had a Christmas Day bug built into it as the screen failed miserably on Christmas Day. It now appears to be a haunted screen. It is frequently completely unresponsive or alternatively it just does its own thing. producing random letters when you are trying to type. Time to give up trying to do repairs and to buy a new tablet. This really needs to come with good installation instructions. You are referred to YouTube, but there are numerous videos on YouTube and you have to look at several to piece together how to fit this item. What you receive does not always look like what you see on YouTube and so it's very confusing and time-consuming. For example the digitiser connector you receive is folded up. On most of the videos on YouTube I saw it was unfolded. The two look completely different. When I contacted the sellers about this they explained to me that what I had been sent was folded rather than unfolded. But it would've been better to have this and everything else set out in the clear instructions that come with the item. You definitely need a magnetic screwdriver because you will be working with very tiny screws and they are extremely hard to manage without a magnetic screwdriver. The screwdrivers provided were of no use. They were the wrong size and were not magnetised. It would've been helpful if a thinner metal tool for prising open the screen was part of the kit sent with this item. It would've been helpful if thinner flatter plastic spudgers have been provided. The overall result has positives and negatives for me. I have been able to replace the cracked screen with one which is not cracked. But the clarity of the screen is not as good as the original Apple one so it has a slightly faded look. The touch sensitivity is not as good as the Apple one, so for example it is difficult to select a word to delete because when you press on the word a different word is highlighted. You have to keep trying over and over again. It also difficult to make precision movement of the cursor using two fingers. This was easy with the original Apple screen. Typing can be hit and miss, it works most of the time but very often there is a delay between pressing the character and its appearance on the screen. The camera on the front of the iPad no longer works properly after I fitted this new screen. The image is cloudy in some areas and completely obscured in others. No part of the image is clear. I could seek to address this camera issue by opening up the screen again to see what might be causing this but I'm not inclined to try this at this time as something else could be damaged in the process. The adhesion of the new screen is not ideal. On parts of the screen when you press you can hear the clicky sound of a poorly adhered component. So overall it is good to no longer have a cracked screen. But it is rather like having one of the earliest touchscreens when they were first introduced and not terribly responsive than a genuine Apple screen and like me you might end up with a faulty camera. zit would also be immensely helpful if this item could come with clear instructions and clear pictures which unlike youtube videos look like what you have received.

Used these iPad screens before. They are quick & easy to replace. Was a little dubious at first with the tools that are provided as they don't look strong, however I have used them several times over and they work great! I did purchase other bits that I recommend using when changing screens which aren't provided but you can't expect everything for the buying price. Also bear in mind that the screen has two screen protectors one inside and one outside that need to be removed before fitting back into place, however the glue holds the screen down firmly and I can't complain about this or anything else for that matter. Have used the screen now for about a week and works perfectly. previous purchased screens are also working just fine after months of use. All in all this kit does a great job and would use this seller and this screen again.

ho due ipad mini e tre bimbi, in 6 anni credo di aver cambiato una decina di vetri. Questi secondo me sono validissimi, meglio di altri che ho pagato anche 30 euro. ne comprerò altri 2 per averli pronti per le rotture inevitabili, non causate dalla scarsa qualità del vetro, ma dall'incuria infantile. Consiglio vivamente di acquistare la cover rigida doppia, in modo che il vetro non si possa alzare. è veramente difficile riuscire a rimontarli facendo aderire la colla alla perfezione, io ci sono riuscito, ma ho dovuto usare delle mollette da falegname e la pistola ad aria calda con controllo di temperatura.

Heute erhalte, heute eingebaut. Super Lieferumfang. Werkzeug welches einen hochwertigen Eindruck macht. Digitizer war schnell verbaut. Alles ohne Probleme. + Schnell + Hochwertig - Die Schutzfolie auf der Vorderseite hat einige klebrige Rückstände zurückgelassen. War etwas mühsam diese abzukratzen.. Dennoch 5 Sterne!

Tercera vez que le cambio la pantalla a mi iPad mini 2 y sin duda esta ha sido la mejor pantalla. La primera vez que la cambié me dejó de funcionar el botón de inicio. La segunda vez que tuve que cambiar la pantalla, el botón de inicio siguió sin funcionar, por lo que di por hecho que ya no funcionaría nunca más. Y ha sido esta vez, con esta pantalla con la que sin esperarlo, el botón de inicio ha vuelto a funcionar. Los tres cambios de pantalla han sido por rotura del cristal. Entiendo que si ahora sí funciona el botón de inicio es porque esta pantalla es mejor, ya que no he hecho nada distinto a las dos veces anteriores. Así que estoy encantado. Llevaba ya varios años sin botón de inicio y ahora vuelve a funcionar a la perfección. Recomiendo esta pantalla al cien por cien.

Ich habe den Digitizer heute erhalten und sofort eingebaut. Selbst für einen Laien wie mich, war es in ca. 30 Minuten möglich. Der Digitizer ist sehr paßgenau und funktioniert wunderbar. Nur der Homebutton hakt ein wenig aber ich denke, dass sich das nach häufiger Benutzung einspielt. Ich kann die Ware uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
