Great product highly recommended to others easy to fix garment repairs

Bought on a whim, but it has proved to be really effective and useful. Emergency repairs, temporary trouser turn ups, tacking for sewing machine. Very strong and and semi-permanent fastening. Recommended and very pleased. I wish that transperent plastic fasteners were available.

This is a nifty little device for temporary/last-minute securing when you haven't time for a needle and thread. There are IGers who use it to 'stitch' a revealing, too-low vee neckline...which is a very good idea. It's basically a plastic tagging gun (those tags price labels are attached to merchandise). The tags on this are black or white plastic, very short (about 5mm) and fine...so in themselves pretty unobtrusive. BUT...the needle on the 'gun' through which the plastic tags are 'fired' is quite thick...so if you're fond of the fabric, beware, it can make quite a hole. I used it to secure the removable pads in a bra...I got fed up with their somersaulting in the bra when I washed it! I cut them off after washing, but noticed that the hole left by the needle where quite evident. Care needed, but has its uses.

I love sewing and arts and crafts but have struggled with it lately due to the early onset of Arthritis. We brought a caravan last year that was new to us but needed just a little updating, and I also wanted to put my stamp on it to really make it mine. I managed new curtains as this was easy for me on the sewing machine but once finished I really wanted to tackle the upholstery but knew that managing the pins for this job would be difficult for me. Then I saw this little gadget come up on a deal page I follow, so I thought I would give it a go. It has been a game changer for me. Instead of fiddling with pins, I can quickly tack things in place with this so it is held ready for me to machine. I have never done upholstery before but so far I am pleased with the results. I still have a lot to do but thanks to this little guy I have confidence in myself to be able to complete it. I’m putting before and after pics on to show my work. Get one of these tools if you are into sewing, and also it came in handy for a quick repair of an open seam while we were away. Saved the day.

Super gadget

Actually bought this because I lost my first one, to help when making some curtains. It is a great alternative to pins for temporarily holding fabric in place. What I love about this is how easy it is to attach things, just push the needle through the fabric and pull the trigger. One thing to watch out for though, if there aren't enough layers of fabric, there can be a little movement and if there are too many layers, it can be difficult to cut them off afterwards.
