T&G Tuscany Rectangular End Grain Chopping Board with Finger Grooves in Acacia, Medium, 38 x 26 x 4 cm 10942

Sturdy excellent..used everyday no issues

This is a lovely item. I had read many positive reviews about this item before I made the purchase and yet was still surprised how good quality it is. A heavy, thick chopping board that looks the part and is more than fit for purpose. It's the sort you'd leave out on the worktop purely for the look and definitely has the classic look to it – none of that colour coded plastic stuff that looks straight from a wendy house. I'm not a particularly enthusiastic cook, but appreciate a good quality product, and worst comes to worst, you could always use it to bludgeon a home invader or 'accidentally' euthanise one of the kids hamsters by knocking it off the counter. You're welcome.

Great item

I thought I'd found a bargain. That said, I think this chopping board is worth the price that's asked for it. I bought it in an 'Amazon Warehouse Deal' for a mid=20s price. It looked better in the picture than what was delivered. The actual item was slightly 'washed out' and doesn't quite have the feel of wood - it feels similar to resin (compared with my old chopping block), though I don't doubt that it is actually wood. Its just that this is replacing a 15 year old chopping board that we were given when we had the kitchen done. I accidently dropped and broke it the other day. That broke my heart. This replacement board will temporarily fill the gap, but every time I use it, I morn the old chopping block. Will just have to save up and pay more. For the record, for anybody that is doubting this chopping block's worth. If this is your budget, then it won't disappoint. Care for it with Catskill Chopping Block Oil and you will give it new life. Don't put anything hot on it, use a trivet instead. And certainly don't put it in the dishwasher. Use it for chopping and yes, there will be marks, but that happened with my expensive board too. Just apply the oil and some love.

Great item and works perfectly and for the price I highly recommend this item Excellent value for money No issues with the alleged faults some people state, mine arrived well packaged and sticker removed fine if you take your time, looks chunky and professional, I always get compliments on it. If you’re in doubt because of the price, I promise you it’s well worth the money, oil it well every few months and it should last a lifetime, £9.99 for the oil which should last years and years too, I can’t speak highly enough of the Chopping Board, I’ve been using it a few months now with no issues. Word of advice do not put Wood in the dishwasher, treat it well and it will outlast you. I wish T&G would send me more products to review, although I did purchase this one, I’d gladly give an honest opinion on other products they have. T&G products are absolutely fantastic and well worth the slightly extra money Well done guys

Brilliant piece of wood, well made and solid feel to the product. Looks great in the kitchen, cutting stuff is a treat, and very easy to upkeep with regular oiling. A very slight irritation is the break in smoothness of the surface by their engraved logo on one side, which is trickier to clean and a collection point for all the juices. We have started avoiding cutting altogether on that side, but if you want to use both sides you have to be very careful around that area. Wish T&G would improve the design in their newer versions of this otherwise excellent product.

I bought this as I wanted a decent size chopping board that would be kind to the edge on my knives. Acacia is much better for knives than cheaper bamboo boards etc. This board does the job well and has a good thickness. The side handles come in handy and it cleans up well. It should last a long time.

Thought other reviewers were being pernickety when complaining about the sticker - so you have to give it a clean before using it, so what? But wow, I apologise to those reviewers! I have never seen such difficult to remove residue. Scrubbing with soap and hot water had no effect whatsoever, in the end I had to scrape it off with a knife, which also took the coating off the board. The board itself is good, but I'm sure there are other good boards out there that don't require half an hour of scraping to make usable.
