Amtech B3186 Mini Long Nose Plier with Spring, Black Silver & Red, 15cm

I wanted to attempt to fix the slider on the zip of a very high end 1980s handbag before sending it to the manufacturer for repair. Applied gentle pressure to the slider to tighten it. Worked a treat - the zip is now opening and closing properly, no random popping open. Took about 5 minutes. Perfect. Now, what other use can I have for these pliers? Thinking of starting a zip repair service 😉

Very good for the price, they are fairly sharp and can cut wire fairly easily. The build is of decent quality and they should last a while. Recommended!

I bought these small pliers for cutting and twisting electrical wire (for lighting, wall switches and electrical sockets). At such a low price I wasn't expecting too much from these pliers but they do the job very well. They are small enough and have sufficient grip to twist or straighten wire and can cut small electrical wires quickly and accurately. The only downside is that they rusted pretty quickly although it is an aesthetic thing that hasn't stopped them working. Happy for the price I paid.

Great product

Great product for what I needed it for. The reason I bought these pliers was to snap open sailine tubes for a friend's nebuliser. She tried to open them and she didn't have the strength. I tried but as I have arthritis in my hands I couldn't open them either. Went looking for pliers and spotted these. They are perfect for opening the saline and small enough to fit into the bag with the nebuliser so they are always handy.

The product received bears little in common with that illustrated on Amazon's web page. The illustrated product has rounded handles that appear circular or slightly oval in profile, mostly in black but with a yellow band nearest the pivot and jaws. The product supplied has wider, squared-off handles on the inner face although rounded outside, yellow on the outside and black inside. There is also some profiling near to the pivot point and no branding anywhere on the tool. I presume that it may be an updated design. The tool was very stiff when received and needed to be teased open. After operating a few times, it freed-up and became easier to use. The jaws open only about half-way using the spring mechanism and can be forced to about twice as wide at the tips. Although an inexpensive tool, the jaws meet perfectly and its serrations match and engage with each other. Not clearly shown on the illustration, it does have a wire cutter. Although I have similar tools that are primarily used in computer maintenance and related uses, this pair was bought for use in the kitchen to help remove finer bones from fresh fish and feather stubs from poultry where it has proven to be considerably more effective than the eyebrow tweezers (dedicated to the kitchen) previously used.

Muy buenos alicates por el precio, robustos y de buena calidad y acabados. El único defecto es que son un poco pequeños, sobre los 12cm de largo. Perfectos para un uso casual.
