How long is the power cable for this device, and what is the optimal location for putting it within a room?

I am completely baffled by these answers. THERE IS NO POWER CABLE. You can even see from the images that this item plugs directly into a UK 3 pin power socket. Let me say it again so that there are no doubts. THERE IS NO POWER CABLE ON THIS UNIT. So please ignore every one of the spurious answers to this question it is completely misleading.

Do the mites actually leave the house or do they just migrate to a room that doesn't have a controller in it?

The dust mite controller interrupts the reproductive cycle of the dust mites therefore reducing the population.

Does this work on bedbugs too?

I've never had bed bugs, so can't really answer that. It's designed to interrupt the dustmites from breeding - they're both insects, so definitely worth a try. Three years on, I still find I am much better, I rarely wake up with a runny nose anymore...

After a long period of use, I've come to the conclusion that these devices really do not work and I too have periods where I'm irritated by dust mites and it really doesn't matter what you try. Sorry..
