Good, heavy-duty quality products. Looks great, works great. A coat of car wax protects the finish from salt air.

Robust build for sure. Much better than the Walmarr brand that it replaced. I had a little difficulty getting it to seat in the door properly, but that could have been the holes in the door werent exactly square. Once installed, it works and looks great. It was worth a little extra money to get a solid name brand.

Lining up the two screws holding the knobs or levers together in final assembly was a bit dicey, but the final result was very good.

So when you think of Brinks you think of armored cars and impenetrable security. Yeah, I don't think that is what this is. I think someone has licensed the name and used it to sell locks. The label says that it is sold by the "Hampton Group" and it is made in the Philipines. I have no idea who that is or why that has anything to do with our beloved Brinks name that we all grew up with protecting banks. In examining the lock itself, it is literally no different than a recent brand that I reviewed that was made in China. Further, it has a smaller diameter and "guard" compared to the outdoor handle and deadbolt that is being replaced so now I have paint (or lack thereof to deal with since there are areas of unpainted door around the new handle. Literally the cylinder thickness is the same and there is no discernable difference between the strength of this presumed exterior door lock and the simply privacy lock that I had acquired. I'm disappointed in the least that this would go for such a premium price when you are not receiving any additional value over such. I would not go over 2.5 stars so rounding up to 3. Just underwhelming considering the other OEM lock sets out there. I am returning this set for these reasons and the fact that I received two separate kits that will require I carry two different keys. No thank you.

This (combined with the Schlage Century deadbolt in satin nickel, and a security combined strike plate from primeline), is a sturdy second point of locking that must have the lock button turned in order to unlock, not merely pressing on the handle. Good for peace of mind and dexterity difficulties with the lever style. The matching Brinks deadbolt was disappointing.
