Having read some other reviews which said the mat kept falling off I was a bit worried but ordered one anyway. I fitted it with the bolt-on clamp at the front and the hook-on piece at the back and had no problems whatsoever. I've used it a few times now and it's perfectly good for the job, doesn't fall off and hasn't worn much at all. I'd say it's a bit pricey for a piece of rubber with a basic metal clamp at either end, but it was easy to fit and did the job well, so I can't complain.

Ideal for the job

The Hulk paving pad is robust and well made but a little fiddly to fit to the compactor plate. Once in position it does a good job of protecting the paver surface from scratches & scuffs, so is well worth the money if your project entails laying paving bricks.

Couldn’t fault the mat had to send whacker plate back so no need for the mat good Product

Not worth the effort trying to fit this, better off placing a piece of carpet or osb board over like the pro's do. This is not worth buying. Not fit for purpose. Would return but now gone past return window.

Very good quality pad fits well on my compactor and no broken paving yet and been using this allot and still going strong

Works perfectly once attached to the Hulk Electro Electric Compaction Plate - HOWEVER - attaching it is a different story. It clips on at the front and you then have to pull it tight enough to do up two bolts on the rear plate - this proved quite a challenge and given the size you're working in, not sure a second pair of hands would have helped that much. Hopefully now it's been used once, next time will be easier...
