I’ve purchased this mix of lava rocks multiple times because it works so well in my semi-hydro / pon blends. The pieces are consistent, clean, and perfect for helping with drainage and airflow in my plant setups. My plants love it, and it’s become a staple in my growing routine.

I thought I was trying a new product but this was just a different company selling the same product I’d gotten elsewhere. The quality is good, not terrible. However the entire reason I wanted to try something new is because it’s extremely dusty and dirty. I had to soak and clean the rocks a couple times before the water cleared. Worked okay enough for my alocasia pups.

i got this 3lb lava rocks mix to make a diy lachuza pon! i have never used pon before but did some research for a diy recipe. it looked like i needed 1 part zeolite, 2 parts lava rock & 4 parts pumice. this mix fulfilled the zeolite & lava rocks ratio perfectly (plus 1 part maifanitum which i’m hoping doesn’t hurt) so i mixed 1 part of this with 2 parts of some pumice that i had. the size of the stones in this mix is perfect! like the size of lentils. & the pumice i used was the same size. i rinsed the mix very well & popped a few plants in with nutrient water. so far it looks really good. i’m hoping my plants like it!!

Bought this as a top layer to cover the soil in my succulent containers. Was a little dusty, which I kind of expected being lava rocks, quick rinse and they were good to go. There was plenty of rocks to complete my projects and have about half the bag left over. Nice mix of color made a nice desert look for my succulents.

I was looking for each of these types of rocks to mix together myself but found this premade mix. I like to add this mix into my houseplant potting soil.
