Solid Build & Very Easy Installation!

Rear latch fractured in half. Good source, but it is unclear why the rear latch repeatedly fails.
The rear fender latch fractured in half within two days of use. It may have been the result of overtightening the screws that fix the latch to the fender. I will buy an "official" GoTrax rear latch from GoTrax to see if this is a material problem. In the interim, I am also studying 3D printing to see if a can devise an integrated, enhanced rear latch assembly that will really stand up to the use and abuse of daily commuting and multiple latches and unlatches per day. I have decided to use a 24 inch velcro strip in place of the latch for long-term use. It is not as easy to use as the official latch design, but it does not suffer from multiple failures seen with the official latch design (now three in a row).

Looks exactly like original from GoTrax. Worries me!
This is identical with the OEM Gotrax plastic hook & latch. The OEM got soft and crumbled. I hope this IS NOT the same as the OEM... does anyone know for sure?
