Real 5 Star Old School Aftershave: The aroma of Clubman Special Reserve reminds me of old leather suitcases and wooden school desks kind of vibe. A typical generic 1980s well-dressed gentleman's bouquet of aromas, straight out of the barbershop, after having a short back and sides! Very clean smelling and maybe slightly soapy in the mix. The woody-leather bouquet does not last long about 2½hrs with moderate projection and sillage. After that its very intimate for a short while, then re-application is needed to reinvigorate the great old school aroma once again!

If you like the scent of old, fine leather then this inexpensive cologne could just be for you. Don't judge it by sniffing the bottle when you unscrew the top, just apply sparingly on the pulse points, allow a couple of minutes to settle down and start smelling like Indiana Jones wishes he did ! This is the type of cologne that if James Bond walked into the room when you were wearing it, he wouldn't want to pick a fight with you. It's for men, no metrosexuals need apply.

Great if you're into rich, dark, powerful and long-lasting aftershaves. Definitely one for the men not the boys. For use in moderation!

Well if you read my other review on the whiskey & woods scent then this isnt far off either, this is an incredibly old school barber shop smell like classic barber shop smell, real rustic and sharp, im 40 and i now know how kevin felt on home alone after trying after shave of such calibre, this is real old school, and the scent is lasting, i work hard and long and was still smelling this unique cologne 9+ hours later, this aftershave will make you wanna buy a peaky blinders suit and braces just to complete the look, get buying 💵

Well, I had high expectations of this, but unfortunately the fragrance is much too sharp for my taste. The best barber shop type fragrance I've found so far is Pashana.

Old school. Long lasting. Recommended.

If you want to smell like an old man who has lived in a dusty library full of old leather bound books ,this is the one for you. It looks like vinegar and has the same after scent as non brewed condiment mixed with really old newspaper. If you want to keep the wife away from you and you like smelling like an 80 year old man get it. A passion killer if I've ever smelt one. I'm taking it to work to clean the ink off old scaffold tags. I've actually smelt better vinegar in my local chippy than this.

I have been using Pinaud Clubman products for some time now and this product is good but not as good as the regular Clubman Aftershave lotion. The fragrance is a bit on heavy side. Much like the Aramis fragrance. Good though.

L' odeur est subtile et tient bien sur la peau,mais sait s'effacer dès l' application d' une eau de toilette ...C'est exactement ce que j' attend un after-shave. ( la bouteille est en plastique mais le contenant n' enlève rien au charme du contenu )

Llevo varios días sin afeitar adrede para poder usarlo al recibirlo y tiene un olor alucinante. Old school sin duda. Escuece un poco en cara, como toda loción alcohólica, pero para estos días de frío viene de lujo. Las propiedades en la piel son las promedio en este tipo de lociones; calma la irritación del afeitado y deja un aroma buenísimo. La recomiendo totalmente para probar algo nuevo, fuera de las típicos after shave comerciales y volver a lo antiguo, lo básico, que al final es lo que realmente merece la pena y no pasa de moda.

Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve ist eines der wenigen noch erhältlichen "Leather- Chypre"- Aftershaves. Dabei ist es gut verträglich, hautpflegend und durch die Kombination von Aftershave und Eau de toilette nicht nur sparsam im Verbrauch, sondern bietet auch langanhaltendes Dufterlebnis. Ein wahrer Geheimtipp, in den USA ein Barbershop- Klassiker, der seit den 1940er Jahren auf dem Markt ist, von einer in Paris 1810 gegründeten Traditionsfirma, hier ein Nischenduft für diejenigen, die nicht dem Trend folgen, sondern ihrer Persönlichkeit Ausdruck geben wollen. Ein preisgünstiger Duft für den echten Herrn und alle, die es werden wollen.

This is the best of the Clubman aftershaves. It is truly a masculine fragrance. It smells like booze, leather saddles, wood campfires, dry cured cigars, with a sweet wisp of gundpowder. If Clint Eastwood wore an aftershave this would be it. Get some for yourself and don't forget your horse. It is relatively long lasting compared to other "barber shop" grade aftershaves. Pairs well with "barber shop" scented shaving soaps, but no fougeres, sandalwoods or anything civilized, complex or fruity. Leather and dirt, tobacco, wood, whisky neat, you get the picture. It's high proof so has a bit of burn but feels good once it hits. Great stuff.
