#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER Over 1 million copies sold! A TikTok sensation! Sparks fly when a competitive figure skater and hockey team captain are forced to share a rink. Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA. It looks like everything is going according to plan when she gets a full scholarship to the University of California, Maple Hills and lands a place on their competitive figure skating team. Nothing will stand in her way, not even the captain of the hockey team, Nate Hawkins. Nate’s focus as team captain is on keeping his team on the ice. Which is tricky when a facilities mishap means they are forced to share a rink with the figure skating team—including Anastasia, who clearly can’t stand him. But when Anastasia’s skating partner faces an uncertain future, she may have to look to Nate to take her shot. Sparks fly, but Anastasia isn’t worried…because she could never like a hockey player, right? Review: Best - Best Review: *A lovely read* Got me out of my slump.❤️ - ⭐⭐⭐.5/5 So finally, I finished reading Icebreaker last night. I liked how the story progresses. It's a story of a determined girl, who wants to achieve her dreams and a boy who is perceptive and understanding. 🧑Anastasia Rebecca Allen - grumpy but not actually - wants to represent her country in the Olympics and can't afford to lose her focus from it, especially not because of some hockey player who she obviously hates. 🧒Nathaniel Hawkins - the hockey player and most considerate captain - couldn't lose her for the world. When they have to work together in the same rink, it gives their friendship a headstart. He tries everything to have her in his life. And eventually succeedes. It also talks about how mental health should be considered primary. You couldn't sacrifice your mental health for anything. The friendship between the otther characters -Robbie, Lola, Johal and Henry - shows how good and supportive friends can help in lifting your spirits in difficult circumstances of your life ( the conversations in the group chat is entertaining). The affinity between them is incredible. You need friends who support you. Overall, If you are planning to read ➡️ Hockey romance ➡️Enemies to lovers ➡️Strong FMC ➡️Caring MMC ➡️Strong Friendships ➡️Fun Banter Go for it and at last Keep reading 📖 ❤

Could have been much shorter
One of the Contemporary Romances I recently read. Nathan - Captain of the hockey team. Anastasia - A figure skater Anastasia hates the hockey team. Due to some accidents, they are forced to share the skating rink for practice. The plot revolves around Nathan and Anastasia's transformation from frenemies to lovers. On the other hand, Anastasia's skating partner Aaron growing possessive and aggressive. The book could have been considerably sweeter and shorter instead of dragging on.

Excited to Read, but Packaging Could Be Sturdier!
I just received my copy of Icebreaker by Hannah Grace, and I couldn’t be more excited to dive into it! The book arrived on time, and the overall packaging was decent. However, I do wish the packaging had been sturdier, as books are quite fragile. Unfortunately, the top part of my book cover arrived a little crinkled. It's a small issue, but as a book lover, I do appreciate pristine covers. Nonetheless, I can’t wait to start reading, and I hope the story is as amazing as I’ve heard!

Wonderful character-development, world-building, friendship, romance
Wow! This story of love and friendship is beautifully told from both Nathan's (Nate) and Anastasia's (Stacie) points of view in alternating chapters. Everything in their competitive experiences of hockey and pair skating while at college is revealed. I loved getting to know each intimately and watching their relationship develop. Nate's relationships with his team, coach, family, Stacie and Aaron, her partner, all trigger his personal growth. Stacie's relationships with her parents, Aaron, their coach, her therapist, her Olympic goals, friendships and Nate similarly trigger her growth. Their temperaments, conflicts and challenges are realistic, which makes their growth and successes meaningful and satisfying. I loved and cheered for them until the end. Hannah Grace is a marvelous writer. 🤗

Worth It
I’m always a little one foot out the door with TikTok books just because I find so many of them that go viral just are basic and kind of the same story over and over again type books but this book is worth it. First…It’s characters, despite there being a lot more than average in my opinion, we’re very well thought out and honestly so interesting I could read their stories too. The way she portrays communication in a relationship especially for the ages they are is actually amazing, I don’t see it often really with a good story line that I can keep reading without knowing the ending. Communication like this is rare and deserves the hype so these younger smutt readers (don’t lie to yourself please we know when it starts) can experience a relationship like this. One where from pretty much the beginning have great communication. I would mention something else but that would also ruins it so I can’t say it. I was very annoyed sometimes at some very obvious “Why?what the point” moments as everyone does but the fact I was blushing kicking my feet like a 13yo girl balanced that out and overall I will be putting this on my books to re-read in a year or two. Great amazing book especially if your in the moon for a light hearted, actually way funnier than expected, and blush inducing with some great surprises kind of story.

Incredibly heartwarming
This is the perfect book for someone who loves romance, well constructed and imperfect characters, and sports stories. This book made me laugh so hard I embarrassed myself on the bus. A few times. The plot is captivating and it's so easy to fall in love with the characters and get hooked in their struggles. To me it was refreshing seeing them dealing with complex, troubling topics and emotional conflicts in mature and realistic ways, while maintaining the feel of being college kids. One thing you do not need to worry about is the miscommunication trope, which for me is amazing because there was no screaming at the screen wondering why don't they just sit down and talk, haha. Overall a great, light and funny read. Totally recommend it!
