I bought this blade for my VITAMIX 5200 on June 15, 2023 (exactly 6 months ago...) It worked really well and I was very happy with it. A few days ago I started noticing that it was leaking a little bit from the bottom. Now the ball bearings are completely dead, it leaks, and it needs to be replaced. It seems that a lot of people are happy with this product and gave it 5 stars... I would have done the same thing if I had reviewed this product a week or two ago... it was working perfectly OK, then. But I don't think this is acceptable... it worked for exactly 6 months before failing completely! I don't know, and I couldn't find anything about the warranty of this product, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY IT FROM THIS BRAND (GEMSEN). (FYI, the original VITAMIX one lasted for about 15 years without any problem...

We love our Vitamix and have used it for decades. But my wife has a heavy-hand on smoothies, as in she literally overflows the carafe almost every time. After years of this intense daily strain on the entire assembly, the mating-gears between the motor housing and the pitcher began to wear and strip. Eventually we couldn't even use the machine due to the horrific grinding noises !!! Decided to buy a new blender and donate this one, then we saw the prices LOL - so I figured THIS replacement set was worth trying. So far, we are very pleased. Everything went together easily and fit great. Now we have a nice tight solid gear-mesh between the motor and pitcher, with no leaks and no more grinding at all. This replacement part is definitely recommended.

My previous blade, through months of searching, was only available for something like $60-70 years ago. This was a scam somehow where the scam artist made any other price inaccessible. This price was appropriate at near $20. I always inadvertently had someone helping me to put it in the dishwasher and that ruins the bearings on these blades. This purchase was after my $70 blade was dishwashered. If you know about bearings, these should feel nothing but smooth when turning the gear with your fingers. Not even a slight tug on your fingers. These move so fast...they cannot be sealed due to the heat generated...any water inside the bearing will only give you several uses before seizing. Keep it out of water and you will have no problems. Clean only as in instructions: best blade clean is running water and soap and blending it. One can then take it apart and clean the container and lid in a dishwasher if you want or clean by blending soap and water then rinse water. Never, ever get the blade bearing submersed or rained on in the dishwasher.

Realizing it was time to part ways with my trusty Vitamix, I opted for a more affordable solution instead of another $500 investment. After thorough research and reading multiple reviews, I found the most cost-effective option. The delivery was prompt, which was a relief. Removing the blade was a bit tricky; it required using a wrench and turning it slowly with the help of my son. Some kits include a tool for this purpose, which can save time. Unfortunately, there were no instructions included, so I had to watch a tutorial on YouTube. To install the non-blade piece, I aligned the triangle with a mark on the base and used an allen key to remove it. While the replacement was successful, the process would have been smoother with clearer directions. Despite the minor challenges, opting for the more budget-friendly solution was the right choice, though I would have considered paying more for a quicker resolution.

I bought this Vitamix blender blade to replace the original. The bearing locked up and while investigating whether or not the blender could be repaired, I could see it was EASILY repairable. Well designed for repair. It took no time at all to figure out how to unscrew the bottom nut to remove the blade assembly. A little research on the web and on Amazon, I found a good replacement. The Vitamix was $400 and instead of throwing it away, I fixed it for less than $20. It's as good as new. I have to commend the design engineers are Vitamix for their very well designed product. It is so easy to disassemble for cleaning as well as repair.
