It fits
Fit a used ultimate mx hauler I found so it fit just like it's supposed to. I wish it was a little shorter but you can clearly see how it's going to fit in the pictures. I will definitely buy again. I'll be making a 1300 mile trip no stops twice in September so if I remember I will update how it held up with and without a load.

This product will NOT fit a Swagman bike carrier.
This product, although cheaper than the Swagman, will NOT fit a Swagman bike carrier. The threaded bolt used with the Swagman is 0.485" in diameter (threaded area). The threaded locking bolt here is 0.618" in diameter (threaded area). It will NOT screw into the Swagman. I like this product for the price, but it will not work for the purpose for which I bought it. The review process required I select a quantity of stars. (It appears to be a good product.) It just won't fit my Swagman.

Seemed great, but...
This lock seemed really solid, much more solid than the other lock I tried. Unfortunately, the threads didn't fit my bike rack, so it was returned. I am reviewing as 5 stars, because it really was pretty solid.

verify the number of threads per inch of your hitch before buying
Customers should verify the number of threads per inch for your hitch before buying. This hitch lock requires 11 threads per inch. My mistake was that I needed 13 threads per inch.

Useless
Purchased in conjunction with the Heininger 6000 Hitch extension in which it is specifically designed for; however, it is not compatible and is too small in diameter. Does not fit as designed. It works as a lock, but the threaded portion of the bolt is much too small for the female threaded end and does not tighten, thus making this useless. Returned

excellent hitch lock
We purchase this lock to work with our Heininger 2200 Advantage 2" SportsRack glideAWAY 4 Bike Rack Carrier and it works perfectly. You just have to be careful that there is room for the lock mechanism on your hitch (ours barely fit). Another reviewer indicated this is not an effective anti-wobble lock but I believe that they are mistaken. The threaded pin by itself is not an anti-wobble device but when screwed into the nut that is installed inside the rack's receiver unit it becomes a very effective anti-wobble system. I believe this lock would work with any 5/8 threaded anti-wobble system provided the thread size is the same. Both the Carrier and the Lock met all of our expectations (ability to move bikes back while we get into rear of our Honda Pilot and an effective lock to keep someone from unhitching and taking everything).

Works as expected
I purchased the Heininger 6000 extension and 6001 threaded hitch lock at the same time. I have not test drove it yet, but it seems to accomplish what I wanted. My bike rack now fits on my Wrangler with room to spare clearing the 12.5in wide spare on the back. I really like having more than one pin location. I was not sure if the lock thread would fit with the extension, but it does. Despite the very little clearance available around my hitch, I did get it to fit and lock. I had to insert it from the left as the hitch wire harness connection interfered with the lock when inserted from the right. I also discovered that the hitch lock on my 2in receiver Yakima rack fits the same threads as well. I may have purchased another one of these instead had I known. It would be nice to just have one key for everything. The only downside I encountered was that 6001 and 6000 were not in stock together, meaning I had to pay for shipping on both from two different Amazon affiliates.

Just like it is
Good luck for my bike trailer hitch, just like the swag man, make sure you have the correct threading on it. Works really well easy to install.

If only they listed more detail about the thread size
I purchased this believing that the 5/8" size will replace my 5/8" pin on my yakima doubledown hitch rack, unfortunately the thread size was too big and did not thread into the hitch. Tried to just use the lock itself with the yakima pin but again it was too loose and it popped right out.

This will not fit the 2” hitch for my North Shore Bike rack
your hitch has a great design for the lock, but, as the picture shows, compared to my original pin(brass) - the diameter (black) is too small, - the thread (black) size is too big to fit my North Shore Rack
