I have a white beard. I wanted to add color to it for a Halloween costume. I wanted it to last Friday night and most of Saturday at an event. It lasted very well and it washed out with shampoo easily. Because my beard is white, I did have to wash it twice to make sure. It did not seem to rub off on anything.

I decided to try this as an alternative to dyes and powders. It does give good color and coverage. It stays on well, almost too well as it requires some scrubbing to remove it at the end of the day. The two things that I don't particularly like are the somewhat strong smell when first applied, and the fact that it makes my beard feel a bit crusty once it dries. However, after using this for a few weeks, I'm pretty happy with the product.

It looks good at first but it does not even last 24 hours. I have to apply it daily for it to remain looking good. I sure cant afford that. So I will go back and use Just for men.

I am allergic to dyes, Volt is the only product I've tried that doesn't irritate my skin. It filled in my beard well but I was able to still keep my salt and pepper look without as much of the salt and it didn't dye my skin. Very natural look, absolutely will keep using.

Doesn’t last even 30 min. Total waste of money

I started going grey around the chin when I was about 27 and because of that, it out me off growing a full beard or even leaving stubble for anything more than a day, as it can be quite noticeable. Anyway, since turning the big 4-0, I decided to grow a beard again to help keep my face a bit warmer in the coming Autumnal and Winter months. I couldn't decide on which cour to buy, as the brown/black is too dark, the medium brown is too light, so I opted for the dark, deep brown umber. Having used it properly today, I didn't like the colour match. I've had my current beard just over a month, so obviously the colour is well and truly present, but it definitely doesn't match with the colour provided. I also didn't realise how horrendous a solvent smell there was with this beard dye. It lingers for a while too, once you put it on. Admittedly it does eventually fade. I had hoped the colour would last all day, as I will be attending a wedding shortly, but after several hours, the colour seemed to fade. Now I don't sit stroking the beard out in public, but it did rub on my clothes and I accidentally brushed it with my hand, only to find alot of the colour had come off. I should add that you really ought to wear plastic gloves to use this stuff, as it does spritz when you remove the brush and it is hellish for removing from the skin. It also stained the sink and took alot of scrubbing to remove the stain. I cannot recommend this product, as it doesn't last, the colour match isn't great, it comes off on everything and seems to stain/colour everywhere except the beard. I also feel it's very overpriced for what it is.

Dye is not quick drying and easily rubs off on clothing.
