Yale P-1-CH-CH-60 - Double Locking Nightlatch - 60mm - Chrome Finish - High Security Can Be Locked From Inside With Key

Easy to fit. Good quality and finish

Made from cast bronze, this lock is very solid - you know it's going to protect your door. Fitting it is simple - in my case I was replacing a different lock, so didn't have to create the mortices. I offered up the template, drilled 4 holes in the right place, screwed on the back-plate, then positioned the strike plate on the door frame (I did have to enlarge the mortice for this, but no big issue. After cutting the new cylinder rod to fit, I fitted the cylinder, then used the two stubby brass screws to attach the main body. In use you can feel the weight of the mechanism and it certainly feels solid, secure and high quality. You can deadlock the inner latch using the key, which prevents it being opened from the inside. In addition, it has a strike-plate deadbolt - when the door is closed, it's not possible to shim the latch using a thin, flexible piece of plastic or metal. Superb.

Excellent lock Quick delivery Recommended

Very happy - BUT beware: if you lock from the inside then you can't get out without the key. This could be a safety issue in an emergency.

After intially being sent the wrong item contacted seller direct who promptly sent out the correct item and apologised so could not fault seller for that he went above and beyond to make sure I was catered for, the item its self carries the necessary BS number and Kite marked to cater for insurance requirements something that buyers should be aware of as it will invalidate your claim should you have a break in and locks are not to insurance standards, this item looks and feels quality and the chrome look makes it attractive to look at too. very pleased all round would definately use and recommend this seller .

Bought this at end of June this year. The lever for this mechanism is now loose. I have tried to submit a complaint via Amazon for my money back as it is clearly faulty. Can someone at Amazon or the company who sold this contact me ASAP

It’s a direct replacement for my old one that has lasted 40+ years. The old one is still going strong but we’ve changed from brass to chrome door furniture. Just hope the new one lasts like the old one (although I don’t think I’ll be around to find out!).

Exactly as described

I replaced a 60 year old lock with the new Yale dead latch , it was 30 $ cheaper than a comparable item locally. It came a week earlier than expected a real bonus. Very happy overall with the transaction!
