Right, for those looking for the push on deciding which to get, the Vulcan or the Orion this might help. I did my research for weeks before I went for a pair of new headsets as i made so many mistakes with my last one. I've had mine for a few months now so hope this review helps. The vulcan has Active noise cancellation. now unless you're actually going to be using it, literally all the time it isn't really worth getting. if you're a serious gamer having to deal with this issue then I do suggest getting it. but for the casual gamer having to deal with annoying siblings walking in or watching TV in the same room. then the Orion will work perfectly. (Has passive noise cancellation through the seal made by the ear pieces going over your ear) The only thing Vulcan pro has compared to Orion pro extra is probably the detachable mic if i'm not wrong? which to me is just a gimmick as it's much easier to push the mic inside the headphones with the Orion pros. The good thing about both Vulcan pro and Orion Pro versions, are that they have a built in sound card. for someone like me who did not bother getting a decent sound card when I did my first run at the build of my PC, This helps as it makes up for the lack of having one. That is the only reason you should go for the Pro version rather than the regular. Pros: Passive noise cancellation Amazing comfort for hours of gameplay and regular use Crisp excellent sounds Surround sound is amazing Bass is wub wub wub very comfortable on the head too mic can reel back in Cons: that damn wire as it always goes into that curly tangle which literally you can never get rid of!!! :@ mic, when too close to mouth is very powerful and can pick up your breathing issues with the mic making a high pitched screech when used in the retracted position Overall amazing headsets, great sound. powerful mic, comfortable for hours of use, passive noise cancellation built in soundcard, WELL worth the money.

The sound quality is great and these are the most comfortable set of head phones that I have ever worn. However the microphone on my original headset stopped working after around 6 months and I had it replaced under warranty. Sadly on the date I am writing this review the replacement headsets microphone has also failed.

Really liked the product. My worry was heat on the ears & wanted something comfortable for hours of game play,well I can play all day with no bother at all really. I don't think there can get too much better.The audio is just excellent especially the fact that I can choose the settings on the go & three settings of XMP surround & fps all are clearly distinct & you can mix around so easily. Looks better than I thought too doesn't look or feel cheap.

This headset is one of the most comfortable I have owned.The sound quality is good and the mike was clear,but thats where the good bit ends. I cannot recommend this product for the simple reason the build quality of this product is quit simply appalling. I have had this product for 4 months and in that time the mike has fallen apart, a part came loose inside one of the earphones, then it stopped working leaving me with one earphone and no mike. I would also like to point out that I am an older user so this item has been looked after and not abused like those little squeekers are wont to do.

Received 6th September 2017, It was working fine until 30 mins ago when the Right headphone "died". So I got just over 3 months use. Today being 15 December 2017. Lovely when they worked, I specifically wanted a pair of phones for gaming with 3.5 jack. These fitted the bill in all areas - Good sound, very comfortable and then they fail, or the cable does. Happy Christmas to me. I'm glad I kept the box. We shall see how Asus deal with my support request. A pity as these were really nice.

All round amazing headset looks brilliant on a stand and coupled with the rog cable tie can easily adjust cable length so no loose wires. Music and game sound quality it amazing good bass and usefull extendable mic.

Audio is great, mike is good enough, and if you don't use it much but want the option i i think this is the best product for the price around. The little red thingy that comes with it is really good for using different types of audio, and it comes with handy wire manager and clip on mute button

Dan una muy buena calidad de sonido, el extra del procesador de sonido ROG spitfire es muy interesante y le da un extra de calidad a los auriculares. Son muy cómodos y ofrecen un total aislamiento de los sonidos exteriores, además de tener un diseño atractivo y funcional. Muy buena compra.

Ich war auf der Suche nach Kopfhörern, die sowohl bei der Musikwiedergabe, als auch beim Tragekomfort keine Schwäche zeigen. Die Polsterung umschließt meine Ohren perfekt und die Knorpel der Ohren kommen nicht mit der Innenseite der Kopfhörer in Berührung, was mich bei meinem bisherigen Kopfhörer nach 1 Stunde Nutzung extrem gestört hatte und extreme Schmerzen verursachte. Mein bisheriger Kopfhörer war das Sennheiser HD201 für 29,90€. Die maximale Abtastrate der USB-Soundkarte vom Orion Pro ist sowohl für die Wiedergabe, als auch für die Aufnahme: 2 Kanal, 16 Bit, 48000Hz Mein Audiointerface Steinberg UR22 schafft 24 Bit, 192000Hz. Ich kann den USB-Adapter natürlich weglassen und es direkt am Audiointerface anschließen. Das Einzige was wegfallen würde, wären die Equalizer-Einstellungen (AMP, Surround, FPS), was man mithilfe von kostenlosen Equalizern simulieren kann. Zum Sound: Wahnsinn! Ich finde ASUS hat hier gute Arbeit geleistet. Sehr guter Bass (hämmernd mit AMP-EQ), ausgezeichnete Höhen und gut hörbare Mitten. Bisher konnte ich den Virtual Surround in CS:GO nur in 2 Matches nutzen und finde es ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die FPS-Einstellung finde ich persönlich merkwürdig ausgewaschen, aber ich werde es mal weiter nutzen und vielleicht demnächst mein Review updaten. Zum Mikrofon: Dosenklang und für den Preis lächerlich. Zum Test bin ich auf den TS unseres Clans gejoined und habe testweise das Mikrofon aktiviert. Ich habe die Kollegen gebeten, einzuschätzen, wie teuer das Mikrofon ihrer Meinung war. Preisvorstellungen lagen zwischen 5 und 15€ Ich habe das Rode NT-2A an meinem Interface hängen, weshalb ich das Mikrofon sowieso nicht nutzen wollte. Mir war es wichtig, dass ich eine gute Soundwiedergabe und einen sehr guten Tragekomfort bekomme, was das Orion Pro mir bietet Deshalb vergebe ich trotz des dürftigen Mikrofons 5 Sterne. Das Mikrofon ist in meinen Augen nur ein Gimmick und nichts weiter. Nice to have, aber nicht zwingend erforderlich. Wer zwingend auf das Mikrofon angewiesen ist, sollte ein anderes Headset kaufen. Abschirmung vor Außengeräuschen: Ausgezeichnet, was ich vom Sennheiser HD201 nicht behaupten kann. Ich habe eine mechanische Tastatur und man hört sonst jeden Anschlag der Tasten. Mit dem Orion Pro auf dem Kopf hört man höchstens 5-10% von seiner Umgebung. Tragekomfort: Ausgezeichnet. Manchmal vergesse ich, dass ich die Kopfhörer auf habe. Kein nervender Druck am Kopf. Alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden und bereue es nicht, diese Kopfhörer gekauft zu haben. Ich kann es bedenkenlos empfehlen. Orion Pro auf, Welt aus!

Ce casque a une finition parfaite. L'atténuation du son est très bonne. En branchant le casque directement sur la carte son de votre pc le son est pas mal. Avec la carte son USB, le son est encore meilleur ! Le micro est tellement sensible que l'on vous comprend parfaitement mais si vous chuchoter !!!! Le fil est long et solide. L'armature du casque également. C'est une belle réussite de la part d'ASUS. Un bémol cependant, les boutons de réglages du son (sur la carte son USB) ruine littéralement la qualité sonore. Il faut tout laisser activer. Cependant, les gamers apprécieront d'avoir un son plus clair et déguagé des basses pour pouvoir entendre les ennemis de loin et disctinctement ^^

Dopo anni di tentativi andati a male con altre ditte come tritton 5.1, microsof e turtle beach tutte con svariati problemi di malfunzionamento cavi e microfoni, ho deciso di provare a spendere di più e vedere se ne valeva la pena. Premessa che le cuffie le ho ordinare il 26 Dicembre e mi sono arrivare il 31 sempre Dicembre 2013, il che vuol dire sotto natale che 5 stelle vanno di base per la consegna. Non è facile descrivere delle cuffie perchè andrebbero provate, ma mi sono fidato di un po di recensioni su amazon e su youtube e ho preso la mia decisione. Per questo prezzo il prodotto è il top, il cavo è di quelli con la corda intorno (non ricordo il nome tecnico) e la qualità è delle plastiche è più che buona. Spicca su tutto il triangolo con il simbolo ROG! Oltre alle 3 modalità che rendono il suono variabile (fondamentale il tasto fps) la cosa sorpendente è l' insonorizzazione, praticamente anche da spente non si sente quasi nulla dall ambiente esterno. Non sono fatte per ascoltare musica ma principalemente per giocare, sparare con un rpg in bf4, ti mette quasi paura, si sente perfettamente il suono del lancio e dell impatto oltre che della scia. Il 7.1 virtuale poi ti fa sentire sul campo di battaglia con elicotteri, voci e spari che rendo il tutto molto immersivo. Ho provato inoltre a vedere Lo Hobbit e devo dire che anche sui blu ray si difendono bene e l' effetto cinema è garantito. Comodo inoltre il raccogli cavo che rende il lungo filo poco ingombrante. Questo è stato l' acquistone dell anno 2013!!
