I bough this laptop to replace my old HP that stayed with me for almost 8 years I'm hoping this one last as much and my initial experience has been overall positive.

I received my new HP touchscreen laptop today. Everything worked as it should except the way Microsoft does business. First of all, setting up the controls and personalization is extremely easy but then it gets to the point where you want to put on a new browser. Microsoft controls you and forces you to use edge, with Bing as your search engine and there’s absolutely no way to change it. Or so you will think! But there is! Of course, Bing is flooded with ads and links to apps and services that you absolutely do not want or need and did not ask for! And so, in order to download and use chrome or Firefox or Safari or any other browser you choose you have to get the system out of S mode. It’s quite a bit of a process so I suggest you Google it. But basically what that does is remove Microsoft’s anti-trust marginally illegal moves by forcing you to use Microsoft products and not allowing you to download anyone else’s. You would think one antitrust lawsuit was enough! If you try to download chrome or install I should say, they give you a big pop up that tells you hey “we do the same thing they do don’t go”anywhere! Then they use fear mongering language that makes you think if you get out of this mode something will happen to your machine. Why wouldn’t they want you to use the browser of your choice? Because of all the ads on their‘s. I suggest you purposely get out of S mode and download prime or Firefox or whatever browser you choose just to show them. Otherwise it’s a small lightweight fast machine. I could’ve been happier paying $100 less. But I did want a touch screen and that’s what you pay the extra $100 for. It loaded the battery life to 92% super fast and the keyboard seems to have almost a spring underneath so no more tired or hurting fingers. It also requires that you sign into a Microsoft account just to even set the thing up and I did that with my Skype ID which is not what I would prefer because I do that anonymously so now my real name is not actually on the account when I open up the machine and I can’t change that either. February 7, 2023 update: I guess you get what you pay for. I wanted to let everyone know the display on this computer is absolutely awful! It does not appear to be NHD which I missed when I purchased it. Depending on the tilt of the screen you can’t even see anything clearly. I have adjusted it in every possible mode to try to get a Clear and chris display but it is not going to happen. It also does not have a back light for the keys so when you’re in low light you can’t light up the keyboard.

It meets perfectly the description. The PC was in excellent condition and delivered on time.

These are HP 15 fd laptops that are modified to 16 gb and 1TB storage. Beware that since they have been modified it voids the HP warranty. It is misleading that Primie is an HP store.

Good HP laptop. Just based on the recent pricing in the market, I felt I paid about 150 more with the compatible other brands models.
