We planted several fruit and ornamental trees in our small yard several years ago and over the course of the passing summers they have each outgrown the space have for them. Our plum tree has encroached on our neighbors view and my wife wanted to hire someone to cut it and the other trees back. With this cordless mini chainsaw, a handsaw, pruning shears and a ladder, I can handle this on my own without having to spend a couple hundred or more for someone to come out here to do the work. This cordless mini chain saw comes with a built in chain guard and safety switch on the trigger. It includes a lot of nice extras in the box as well including gloves and a spare chain. The instructions are straight forward if you need them- would recommend reviewing the safety procedures. This handles the 18V Makita batteries - which is perfect for me - that’s all that I have. It is a bit noisy but what else would you expect and the RPMs are considerably slower than a gas powered real chain saw. Haven’t cut through anything yet but I’ll get some video over the weekend when I’m cutting back the trees. This is a great value- these things go for hundreds and this one is a steal. The 18V 6amp Makita batteries last a long time on one charge. This does not come with a battery. It’s lightweight and balanced well with a battery pack on the handle - handle heavy but I’d rather that than blade heavy. Great little power tool - highly recommend

Really impressed. I have been able to clear out a lot more than I thought with this saw. Battery life is impressive (you provide your own Makita batteries). Easy to tighten and adjust the chain. Clean cuts. Light weight. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but this is a solid little saw, and it has done a good job on quite a few projects on my 2.5 acre property.

Been a good little saw for trimming up

Used one day and broke. The motor spins but the blade does not. Sounds like the gears are striped. Cheap crap! Avoid buying this saw! I should have bought the name band version.

Impressive! Cuts really well for the price. Compact, light, and easy to use. Sure, the blade gets loose sometimes. Tighten it, and you are good to go again. Learn the pressure, and you will get way more use with no problems. I was using it for the whole day. No oil, no issues. The blade is still sharp. Still 5 stars at this point. Even on the smallest battery, it lasts way longer than I expected. Maybe a little too much in my case. Now, one star down… ( possibly user ME error ) I will add a star back if I hear from the seller… I am not sure if it has low voltage protection. I was so excited how well it cuts that I think I drained my battery to complete zero, and now it is dead. If you have the battery charge level button and LEDs, check it once in a while and stop before you drain it completely. In my case, the battery BMS tripped, and now I am not able to use it anymore. So just avoid draining your battery; otherwise, this tool is legit help anywhere you don’t want to drag your big saw!

what a great little saw right out of the box, I use a wood stove to heat my house, and I use pallets whenever possible, they are always made with some type of kiln-dried materials, from pine to white oak, have been using a chain saw, but they take two hands, with this tool, you can easily hold or balance something with one hand while cutting with this tool in the other. I put one of my 5.0 Amh batteries in and plowed through 10 6-foot pallets, the battery still had 2 bars. if this is all I ever use it for it will have been worth the price. Shipped fast and had it in 4-5 days. being able to use the batteries from my many Makita 18volt tools, is what makes the whole thing an even better deal. the one drawback is the wing nut that holds the bar, and keeps the chain tight, is not big enough, to keep the bar from slipping. I solved that by getting a big barbed washer and putting it on in front of the wing nut. other than that, a must-have for anyone committed to the Makita 18-volt platform of tools.

So far so good. I had my doubts about some of these knock off tools, but I ordered 5 of them, from different companies, but I think they're maybe all the same. Anyway, this little chainsaw is great. The build feels solid. We pruned and chopped up the branches of a tree in our backyard. It cut through 4" limbs with no problem. Hopefully it lasts.

The chain slipped off when using and was difficult when putting back on-- the adjustment screw is difficult with a short screw driver that they provide while keeping everything in line. And mine didn't include a chain guard that I don't know how to replace it but really no big deal. But my BIG positive is the ability to use my Makita batteries. I would give 4 stars on performance so far. Over all quality seems fine.

Works great. Cuts like a "real" tool, even if it's a small format. Being small makes it easier to maneuver. I like it a lot. I didn't have to get my big chainsaw out this year (so far at least)

Es muy ligera y por lo mismo fácil de maniobrar por lo que permite podar ramas de los árboles con una sola mano y por lo mismo con mayor seguridad.

This a great bit of kit! Great value for money and does exactly what it's intended for. Always worry that it's going to be a cheap knock-off that will break after one use but this is a real dream power tool to work with and I can use my existing makita batteries.
