I don't know a lot about recording, novice player, but I'm very impressed with the ease this remote gives me. It's a PITA to keep getting up when you're just trying to record a simple song with a guitar in your hands. Makes multiple takes very easy. Honest deal for a nice working remote. If you try it you'll like it.

Makes recording SO much easier!
I initially put off getting the remote for the Zoom H4n but I had a friend coming over to jam and I have a Blue Yeti mic with a short cord. This made it possible to have the mic further away from me and I did not have to jump up to do a reading and then start recording!

WORKS FINE - GOOD VALUE
Works fine. Good value. Convenient. ... note: remote MUST be plugged into the H4N prior to turning on recorder. took a while for me to figure this out. ... the lead wire from the remote is sufficiently long (good), and a bit stiff (less than good) ... would be really great if someone would produce a "Wireless Remote" for the H4N ... ... all in all, "Works fine - Good value" ...

Works as Expected
Has all the same functions as the original OEM remote for Zoom H4N and works as designed. NOTE that this has a compartment for button battery but doesn't require it; It get powered by the Zoom unit. Great and works well!

Good remote
I like that the buttons are raised & easy to push. The remote gives access to record/pause/play, as well as record levels & playback volume.
