Pros: Very sturdy locking device. Used on custom van conversion tables around kithen sink area. Was sturdy and strong enough to use only one per table where the other end of table was attached to kitchen sink cabinet with hinges. Very easy to extend leg into locking position and unlock to fold table away. Cons: None at this time. Worked great for my application.

These hinges work great for particular applications - specifically for a table/bench top that has one side fixed (via piano hinge in my case) to a wall and the other side uses these two hinged-leg mechanisms. Incredibly stable in this application. If one were to use these for all four legs, I imagine (as I have not actually done this) they would not be stable enough for a reliable and useful bench/table.

I made a free standing folding table for the kids for thanksgiving. There is no right or left hinge. So all the matches are on the same side. If you have a lip on the table the hinge has to be turned so that the latch is on the inside in order to open and close the hinge. This means that every leg is folded in a different direction. The hinges work fine, except there is to much play in the hinges, making the legs a little wobbly. My table was only 2 feet tall, so it was fairly stable.

Great bracket for folding table where one side is supported with the wall. I doubt these brackets would be good for a free-standing table, they do not have enough support to resist side-to-side movement on their own. The latching mechanism is more than adequate for the application. Installation was simple and easy. Finish looks nice, but really they are not visible most of the time unless you go out of your way to look. My one gripe would be that Rockler make a right and left side bracket, so the latching mechanism can be actuated from the front on both, instead of one having the mechanism being pressed from the back. Used to put a folding project table in my basement/workshop.

This works perfectly for a drop down work bench extension. The installation is easy an the sturdiness is very good. The legs are very stable with these locking braces. Very satisfied!

They work and are better than many other alternatives, but your table can wobble if you only use these; they don't lock into position solidly enough to not wobble a bit. Good for my application, which is a surface that attaches to a wall on one side (so, the wall stabilizes it).

Made a fold down table, two leg support, back side is attached to wall with long hinges. Its where I paint and it folds away when not in use. Leg hinges work perfect, they lock when up and they lock when down, cant ask for more than that..Perfect product for my use. Thanks Rockler

Work fine, but the lock system is a potential finger pincher. I built a folding garage work table, and these secure the legs well. Reaching under to release the legs is dicey, as finger pinches are entirely possible. Still, one of the better options out there.

I really like this steel bracket as it locks in both open and closed positions. The release mechanism on the lock is quite adequate.
