Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core Edition (Red)

Bought for my son. Very well built and solid. Heavier than original Xbox controller and feels great to hold. He tells me his game play has drastically improved now he has a feel for it, and he was very good as it was so definitely worth the money. No paddles included!

I’ve always used the elite controllers they always feels right , easy to set up never an issue with them for me, plus the colour is nice and bright and looks very nice , turn on , sync and play easy as that

I’ll start by saying the Elite Controller Series 2 is a fantastic controller. The build quality, the way it feels in the hand, the battery life and the extra paddles on the back all make for a great gaming experience. And I love using this controller. The problem is and after doing some reading after about 12-15 months one of the bumper buttons will fail, for me it’s the right bumper button. Which after reading this is a very common flaw with this controller. The right bumper buttons failing is the most common bumper button to fail out of the two. For now I’ve re-mapped the bumper button to one corresponding back paddle buttons, which is working fine for me. For now at least. I not one for misusing the controller, I’m in my late 40s and look after my stuff, so it’s not like I’ve been throwing the thing about, or slamming it down. It’s just a well know fault with this controller. So if you’re looking to buy one of these controllers I’d say they are definitely worth the money. But be aware that you may be looking to replace it in a years time due to the bumper buttons failing. And if you buy the core version you may not have the option the remap the buttons as I’ve done, as the core version doesn’t include those paddles.

Had this controller for 9 months and was immediately suspicious upon taking it out the box. Sticks weren’t properly straight but I needed a controller ASAP for something so stupidly didn’t return it. 9 months in and it has bad stick drift and like other comments have pointed out the left bumper has completely gone. The only way to get it to register an input is by pressing so hard it hurts and even then there’s a 50/50 chance it’ll work. Over £100 for a controller more flimsy than the standard Xbox version. Absolutely abhorrent controller. If you have the extra cash then just buy a scuf, I wish I did. Hopefully there’s a one year warranty on this POS given the price bc a lot of ppl will need it within that same year.

Been humming and hawing about this purchase for weeks....prices were down a little and bought myself a little pressie......it's good to able to customise the controller....its a little tighter than my standard controller.....was glad i was able to transfer my skull&co bluetooth adapter as I'm hard of hearing... so can use my hearing aids to good effect. worth the money

Durch diesen Controller bin ich jetzt richtig wieder ins story gaming rein gekommen. Hierdurch macht das manövrieren durch alle Spiele endlich Spaß. War schon immer maus und Tastatur gewöhnt und hatte immer Probleme mich an controller movement zu gewöhnen, weil man beim gleichzeitig bewegen, schauen und Aktionen durchführen zu wenig Tasten hat, bzw die Tasten nicht vorteilhaft gelegt sind. Siehe Profie Spieler mit verkrampften Fingern beim zocken. So etwas konnte und wollte ich nie! Und jetzt ist das mit den vier "back paddeln" auch nicht mehr nötig, jetzt kannst du dir einfach alle Aktionen auf die Rückseite des Controllers packen und das ist tatsächlich ein absoluter game changer! Ohne geht gar nicht mehr. Ich wünschte nur das die Spiele hersteller irgewann auf den Zug mit auf springen und ihre Spiele so gestalten das die hinter Tasten von Anfang an belegt sind. Außerdem ist die prezision der joysticks fenomenal. Die ganzen tauschbaren Tasten und sticks in Größe und Form hab ich bisher noch nicht ausprobiert aber halte es für eine super Möglichkeit, die mit trotzdem gefällt. Einfach zu wissen das man es tauschen kann wenn man es braucht oder lust hat, ist schon gut. Die gummie Griffe sind auch angenehm und passen zum Look. Der aku ist ok hält ziemlich lange. Das Programm ist auch in Ordnung, kann man leicht bedienen. Ich würde mir angenehmere LEDs zur Batterie info wünschen. Insgesamt eins der besten Produkte in meinem Besitz. 100% kauf Empfehlung! Edit: ich habe den controller im Mai 2024 gekauft und heute im März 2026 hab ich das erste mal probleme mit dem RB button. Funktioniert nicht mehr richtig.
