Fast, Reliable Connection – Works Perfectly and Easy to Set Up
I bought this Ethernet adapter for my Fire TV because Wi-Fi wasn’t always reliable, and it has made a huge difference. Setup couldn’t be easier: just plug it into the Fire TV and connect your Ethernet cable. It was working in under a minute with no extra steps. Performance is excellent. The wired connection is noticeably faster and completely stable compared to Wi-Fi. Streaming in 4K is now smooth, with no buffering or random dropouts. Even navigating menus feels quicker and more responsive. The compact design is a bonus — it doesn’t take up much space behind the TV, and it feels well-built. For the price, it’s a simple upgrade that fixes one of the most common frustrations with streaming devices. Verdict: If you’ve ever had issues with Fire TV buffering or laggy Wi-Fi, this little adapter is a must-have. Reliable, affordable, and genuinely improves the experience.

Stable, compact, and plug-in ready—solid fix for buffering issues on Fire TV gear.
This adapter’s built for reliability—plugs into the Fire TV Stick’s micro-USB port and gives you a direct wired connection. Ideal for setups where Wi-Fi’s patchy or overloaded. No drivers, no faff—just plug in the Ethernet cable, power it up, and it locks in. Streaming’s smoother—less buffering, quicker app loads, and better stability for 4K content. Compact build means it doesn’t hang or pull on the stick. Great for van setups, wall-mounted TVs, or anywhere you want clean, uninterrupted playback. Best used with a decent Ethernet cable—cheap ones can bottleneck speed. 👍 Pros ✅ Plug-and-play—no setup needed ✅ Boosts stability—great for 4K and live streams ✅ Compact design—no drag on Fire Stick ✅ Works with multiple models—2017+, 4K, Basic Edition ✅ Ideal for weak Wi-Fi zones—van, garage, spare room 👎 Cons ❌ Micro-USB only—won’t fit newer USB-C gear ❌ Needs power—must be plugged in ❌ No cable included—Ethernet sold separately

Great
Has stopped the dreaded shutting and buffing that I used to get streaming via Plex, simple to set up. Update:- still performing very well, so good have brought another for a different location, well worth the price for a good steady streaming experience.

You must use an ethernet cable and not an RJ45 ADSL cable!
There are lots of comments about people having issues with getting their Firestick to recognise the hard wired Ethernet connection. I to was having issues until I realised that I was trying to use an ADSL (from telephone socket to modem) cable and NOT an ethernet cable. Once I purchased the correct ethernet cable it connected seamlessly in seconds...!!!! Great device but only if you use the correct cable lol :>). ADSL and ethernet cables are not interchangeable!

Works very well ... until it broke after a month
I have bad WiFi signal around the house (thick walls, lots of steel joists) so this ethernet adaptor for my Firestick was a godsend. I use it combined with a Western Digital Livewire Powerline home intranet system. It was very easy to install and the reaction speed, loading time and picture quality on my Firestick was transformed. This seemed like the best £16 I'd spent in a long time. That was in early August. A month later the Firestick said it could not find any signal and the Network setting showed it was not connected to the internet. I swapped back to using WiFi and it worked (slowly). I changed the CAT-5E cable, I checked to see if other units running of the WD Livewire system were working (they were) ... so I had to conclude that the ethernet adaptor had broken after only a month. I ordered a second ethernet adaptor and it has just arrived. I plugged it in, switched off the WiFi signal, and the wired network started working straight away. So it was a duff adaptor. This is a great bit of kit, and really good value for someone in my position, but it needs to be able to last longer than a month. I just have every finger crossed that my first adaptor was a one-off bad unit, and this second one will last a year or two, at least.
